Just going back through some old posts. Posted on the 4th September 2018 by John Anderson I think he copied a post from Chris Reeves the post stated that we had 6 years and 4 months left on our Tatum lease. So using simple maths 6 years four months equates to 76 Months. Which means on or about October 4th we will have 39 months left at the Tatnum. Let that sink in. We need the BIG ANNOUNCEMENT very quickly!

Should the Good Lord(and Rob The Shirt!!) spare me I will be passing my 80th birthday as that lease expires! Surely it must be disturbing to honest to goodness PTFC Fans when respected contributors fear for our team being able to retain its current status! To no one in particular
Weymouth New(ish)Stadium Dorchester New(ish)Stadium Wimborne New Stadium
Why does the most affluent area of Dorset have a football team bearing its name playing on a school field? Why is said team poorer than a church mouse in comparison with its peers? ,,and you all know the worst part of this sorry saga. There is a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT coming which never seems to arrive!
UP THE TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN!!!

Benito raises an excellent challenge.
The vast majority will respect the fact covid has probably thrown the Board's plans off course. However, no news with the clock rapidly ticking down leads to speculation which may be wrong but believed in the absence of anything else.
I would hope that over the course of this season we are given more information on future plans. By the end of the season there will only be about 3 years left on a lease which I get the impression from previous comments will not be renewed. Unless firm plans are not in place by then I struggle to see how a new ground would be in place.
I fully believe this issue is constantly absorbing the Board. I also understand confidentiality. However, the fans still need some communication or the rumours will just grow.
The latest prediction league feels like a symptom of this. I struggle to remember a time when so many predicted Poole to lose. The fans need something positive to get them back behind the club. I do not doubt the loyalty of the vast majority - but that still can be severely tested in the absence of positive news.
So lets hope for positive news both on and off the pitch over the coming months.

Very well said,Peter I do hope that the BOD responds and not the usual refrain of the past couple of years"There is something coming but we cannot tell you" Should be a lively Supporters Club AGM!!

Thank you Chris for your response - link below for those that have not seen.
We do realise confidentiality means we can not always be shared the whole picture - but an update & re-assurance does mean a lot to us.

When is someone going to be brave enough to say..."f**k confidentially agreements. The council have been stringing us along for forever" "Here's what they offered at the beginning, but now no matter what we do nowt is happening." When are the next council elections? I know Poole Town aren't the same size as Charlton, who stood for election to get The Valley back. But whenever they are we all need to agree something more than, "can't say anything, confidentially agreements". Because it clearly isn't working.

Choirboy Quite obviously nobody presently in the PTFC boardroom is going to stand up for this club. They should resign, appoint a caretaker board and someone with the cajones to negotiate with BCP We are becoming the laughing stock of Dorset Football!

Sorry expat, I have to disagree with you again. We are not becoming the laughing stock of Dorset Football. WE ARE THE LAUGHING STOCK OF DORSET FOOTBALL. Just a look at the ages of the majority of regular home supporters attending games, highlights the fact that the club, in its' present format, is in danger of spiraling down the leagues. Little entertainment on the field, a manager lacking the ability to motivate players, no leadership on the pitch and poor facilities, for supporters off of it, is hardly a recipe for attracting good players, financial backing or an increase in fan base.

Hate to say it but I totally agree Grandad. I am sick and tired of all the big announcement rubbish. Over twenty years since we left the stadium (wonder who’s fault that was?) over twenty years of brown nosing the council and where has it got us? I remember Councillor Bernard Ewart was asked along for a free night out at a sportsman’s dinner to basically butter him up, what happened after that he and the council dumped on us. Which I suspect is still the case now.

This whole episode reminds me of my old club Wokingham town FC we were members of the ismian Premier League and same scenario, our ground was sold on to builders, and despite selling the club for a few million a lot in the 1990s and promised a new ground similar to Wimbourne story the council did not play ball and the club ended up ground sharing 25 miles up the road with Windsor&Eton fc,then Feltham FC and eventually the fan base disappeared a long with our ishmian league status, they now are called Wokingham & Emmbrook fc (a local district league side)whom own the facilities and now play in the combined counties league, and still no sign of a new ground anywhere!!!.So come on BoD please give us MORE...as we all deserve at least that!!!!. COYD.

Reading Expats tirade is extremely depressing.I'm afraid the time has come for the BOD to rescind his membership. The club can do without his continual rants from afar in Uncle Sams land.Let the true fans of the Club carry the Flag now and let the old dinosaurs fade away Up the Townnnnnnnnnnnnn !!

I though this forum was open to everyone and as long as there is no rudeness bad language or threatening behaviour. I can’t see why anyone should be banned. Yes expat does a bit of ranting as do I. Expat rants because I assume he cares as do I. So when bearwoodbob asked for him to banned by the BOD basically because he doesn’t agree with expats comments it makes him IMHO look very sad.

Benito you only need to look back through the forum threads for many years to find that Expat has an agitating agenda which in my opinion has been allowed to run far to long. Continual sniping at the BOD and Team Management is just so fatiguing to all who use this forum.

Bearwood
When we lost our place in the NLS was any censure put on our Mgr or Bod? In most areas of the football world they would have been replaced Has any censure been made about our inability to progress in Cup competitions?play offs? in the past few seasons? Has any censure been made on our inability to retain players that could conceivably play in the NLS? So if the Fans are a bit ticked off about the lack of info and the prospect of another 190 weeks at Tatnam i would say that is fair comment. How can Poole Pirates promoter be so optimistic that he will have a team racing at The Stadium next year? He must be negotiating with somebody and whoever it is the final blessing has to come from BCP surely? TK has tenure that is a fact and yes we owe him a lot.but football managers have tough skins and others opinions is part of the job Our BOD seems to find itself unable to attract investment in the Club so we are on a treadmill As i said if you and others are happy with the status quo that is your right It is also the right of others to voice their opinions on where we think we are going wrong. Your research will alas have shown that this season alone a lot of dyed in the wool fans are voting with their feet and their lack of appearances on the boards is telling. "The Buck Stops here" and when you have that on your desk you can expect a little flak!

AFAIK a lease agreement involves certain righta and responsibilities amongst both the owner of the property and the lessee. The owners of the property still have the say in how the property is used. The nlessee gets to use the property but not without agreed conditions

Bearwood Bob. I take offence at your assumption that you are the voice of all of us that use this forum. You are not and never will be. Your views are yours and yours alone, so your statement, (i.e. Continual sniping at the BOD and Team Management is just so fatiguing to all who use this forum), is not only without foundation but also based solely on your own biased personal views. That said, like the rest of us, you have every right to express YOUR view on this forum. Equally so does everyone else who so wishes to do do, including Expat. I and many others enjoy Expats input even if we don't always agree with it. Long may it and his support of the club, last. He is not the only one, who in recent times, has questioned perceived problems within the club. Such concerns will never be appeased until we have open, reliable, consultation from the club. Until then we supporters, can only base our views on what we see and hear coming from on, and off, the pitch. It is not a cheery picture.

Big Announcement at Wimborne Town today. Wimborne Town Football Club is pleased to confirm that agreement has been reached for Lee Merrifield, Martin Higgins & Adam Tovey to acquire a majority stake in the club from current majority shareholders Tony Grant, Graham Bell & Ken Stewart. They will work with MSP Capital Ltd based in Poole. So our nearest & dearest have new owners & possibly new funds available to invest in the team. Of course depends on how much they paid for the shares! Not directly Poole related but certainly indirectly.

Wimborne are in a very tight spot. Perhaps JT can enlighten ;will there be relegation from the SLP this season> Fourth from bottom across all Step 3 leagues will receive a reprieve, and there's the possibility that finishing third from bottom will also receive a reprieve. Depends on highest PPG across the four Step 3 leagues.
