Personally think the more ambitious we are, whilst maintaining financial stability, the better. This will be a community asset for the town and will therefore provide us with the best chance to genuinely aim for league football in however many years.
We may stay in non league, who knows? But as we’ve seen recently, there are teams two leagues above us like Chesterfield and Notts County and we need to compete with them if we’re to achieve our ambitions.

There is a good YouTube post on the new York City fc ground which may be worth a watch, incorporating the football club but also other usages which include the NHS a library, officers etc and even a indoor pool and gym which is all open to the community, they also can upgrade regards what happens on the pitch👍COYD.

It seems that real progress may finally be underway - albeit 'behind the scenes'. I'd love to see PT in a proper home and one that reflects well on both the Club and the Town. I have one reservation though and it relates to the stated ambitions. Now it's great to get people excited and especially football fans and more especially Dolphins supporters but by pitching the bar so high has too negative outcomes. First - you risk disappointing everyone if you fail to deliver what many will see as promises rather than aspirations, even if what you provide is perfectly fine and adequate. Second - and more important - you risk big time opposition from local residents - who will undoubtedly focus on 'Dean Court' on the doorstep and not the reality of 300 - 500 supporters, rather than 12000.PT sadly has history of going big with plans before speaking to local people and that has seen the failure of schemes at Turlin Moor, Branksome Rec and Canford Heath.I hope lessons have been learned. Having been heavily involved with the building of the New Dean Court through the fans Trust and ST Marys as link Officer for the City Council, I am all too aware how important it is to take people with you. Bear in mind a happy neighbour is a prospective new fan and an irate one will cause all sorts of issues - not least of which could be to scupper the scheme entirely. I'm not be negative but hopefully constructive and as an occasional fan I'd love to go more often at a better facility and to watch a higher standard of football. Build small with provision to extend as the Club progresses but a New Cuthbury + - or something similar to Cambridge Citys new Stadium would be perfect for now.

We are building initially something smaller. All the recent articles in the Echo have said this. The 6,000 is only if we ever reach the football league.
The current minimum for the National League National Division is 4,000. I think of which a 10% have to be seats. Also segregation of away fans starts.
Not sure what the minimum for National South is but suspect that the new ground will be built to this standard to begin with. It's just the foundations will be put in place to allow stadium development should we make progress up the pyramid.
As for a 6,000 all seater stadium that is just the headline grabber. I think it is at least a decade off at earliest. But I hope we need it sooner than that!

Same team, same results nothing changes. I am of the thinking and always have been that what happens in pre-season has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on the outcome of the season!! And after yesterday's 'snooze fest' lets hope I'm right! COYD!

Your right Steve friendlies aren't the way to judge a team. I was just disappointed that we hardly tested there keeper or made many chances. But I did think Wes Fogden was terrific and will be a great asset to the team.

Pre season is a glorified fitness exercise and an opportunity to experiment with new systems, player pairings, etc.
We’ve made some great signings, quality rather than quantity, which is exactly what we need. Despite the Tony situation, I’m still optimistic that we can have a great season and finish in the play offs.
Let’s support the lads from the very start of the season and hope that the stadium discussions next month are positive. Up the dolf 🐬

I know I said I wouldn’t but whichever way you look at it 4th Aug = 29 months left on our current Tatnam lease so let’s hope the’BIG’ announcement promised this month materialises 🤞

Nearly the end of August. Any news? Yes BCP Planning is a little slow. They can't even decide on beach huts. So a new football stadium might be beyond them!

Did I miss the big announcement that was happening before the end of August?
Come on BOD, just let us know where we are; even if it's just "we have to wait another month/year/indefinitely". There comes a point where you stop giving people the benefit of the doubt.

Is it correct that our lease at Tatnam Farm has been extended by several years. If so, added to the time left on the existing lease, we could be staying where we are for some time yet. Let's hope it's to give time for our new ground to be built and not just to give the council time to make a decision....

I know it’s frustrating but have faith! This board deeply care about the club, from the players to the fans.
It will come in time.
On a positive note, we have signed two players on loan today!
Jake Andrews from Havant & W who is highly rated from comments I’ve seen on Twitter. We’ve also signed an 18 year old striker from saints called Harvey Woods.
Both are available for tomorrow’s cup match against Salisbury 🐬

It would have been even better if we had signed a couple of experienced defenders.

As the board have recently had a meeting, would it be realistic for us, to assume that they just may also have discussed "The Big Announcement". One weeek into September and "the end of August announcement" still seems a long way off, as does an answer to the question, as to whether the lease at Tatnam Farm has been extended. Surely its time for an update, even if it's just as to why the announcement has been delayed.
