Regarding the upcoming fixture against Chelsea being a friendly match I expect that there will not be a formal Programme. One problem with friendly matches is that we, the spectators, are unaware of the names of players on the field.
Please can we at least have a 'Team Sheet' for this match so we know who is playing. Thank you in hope.

Think how I feel with multiple substitutions? I would love to announce the starting line ups, but 1. With a limited amount of shirts, players wear the same numbers,& 2. Trialists! Hundreds of em,so other than starting line ups,I think it's pretty much impossible!

Can't see why the club wouldn't produce one. I am sure Chelsea would want some to send to their programme subscribers who pay for a printed copy posted to them. Also not only an online version, but the chance to order a printed copy via PayPal and have it posted to those who can't make the game. A chance to make some money for once. To that end are the club prepared to offer a printed programme subscription. For those attending matches £2 X 21 = £42. Happy to pay in advance myself. Obviously cup programmes would have to be paid for on the day, unless offered free to subscribers. If people wanted a printed programme posted to them obviously more expensive as extra effort involved & postage to pay for.

There is 100% a programme for this game and a good one at that. Plenty of positive things in it ahead of the season.

There will be a programme I believe. Slightly off the Chelsea programme. Just watched a BBC item re a Wiltshire lady who sixty years after the event discovered that her husband Glyn Phillips had been a spy {Project X-X_). Lo and behold the first item of memorabilia on screen was a programme - Poole Town vs Clandown! To my somewhat errant memory Glyn Phillips bears a resemblance to one Ted Phillips who turned out for The Town back in the 50s There is a piece of memorabilia there perhaps to be investigated. UP THE TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN!!@

Will there be a commentary on Radio Poole Town for those of us unable to attend?

Will there be a commentary on Radio Poole Town for those of us unable to attend? We are unsure at the moment, as we are a bit short on staff during August. Ben is making exceptional effort to be at games - he came all the way from Leicester specifically to be able to keep everyone updated via Twitter at the Swanage game. He is doing the same for the Chelsea game - but he will again be on his own as the other Media team aren't able to come down/are away on holiday . If anyone is available to video the game I am sure we could use an extra pair of hands.

UP THE TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN!!@ Great find, expat! It would be no surprise to discover that Glyn Phillips played under an assumed name, given his secretive calling. If anyone recalls that 'Ted' Phillips sported a moustache and a slightly iffy wig, I think the claim may be very credible.. National dailies covered this story back in May. The Mail account has a photo of Glyn Phillips' in his football team! Could it be a picture of the Poole Town squad of the day? Glyn Phillips is front row, second from left www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7066291/Widow-85-discovers-husband-led-double-life-secret-agent-75-years.html

Fascinating stuff without a doubt but that line up doesn’t look much like a Town 1950s team to me. However, I could be wrong. It’d be nice to have it confirmed by someone ‘in the know’. Meanwhile COYD for 2019-2020!
