The Reserves play their final pre season friendly on Friday 11th August away v Hamworthy Recreation.
This is 6.30 pm Kick off at their Magna Road ground.
We have already seen a mixture of old and new players playing together for the first time and whilst the results so far have not shown the side justice ,we have taken a lot of positives from each game against strong Dorset Premier League outfits. This match will be, once again, a tough challenge against a top side. It would be nice to see you there as the Reserve team takes shape for the new season in the Wessex League Combination Div1.
Also, if you are around on home match days ( and not with the First team ! ) and are able to help out, please come and see us as it would be much appreciated. Ian Mcleod

The Reserves completed their pre season tonight with a fine 3 - 2 win away at Hamworthy Recreation. We fell behind in the first half with Ham Rec. firing home a 20 yard shot into the far corner as we were still finding our feet. After the break, and sticking with our new system akin to the1st team, the lads upped the work rate and with it the passing became sharper and gave us a much bigger portion of possession and we pulled level as Lee Manning met a cross fired in from the wing. Not much later we took the lead with an own goal as a defender, under pressure, looped the ball over his keeper. Martin Newbery finished the scoring with a 45 yard shot which their keeper let slip through his outstretched hands. Ham Rec. scored a second with a minute left on the clock through a well taken a free kick but we held on for a win. Once again we had a large squad of players, there were another 3 trialists and Ham Rec will be ruing missed chances but, all in all, to take a victory against such opposition was a good achievement and has put us in good shape for the new season which sees us host Locksheath F.C. next Saturday, 19th August 3.00pm Kick off.
Many thanks to our Pre season opposition, all from the Dorset Premier League, and we wish Holt United, Swanage Town & Herston, Cobham Sports and Hamworthy Recreation good luck for the season.
