All the very, very best tonight lads. I would have thought that you have made everyone connected with the club very proud of PTFC this year whatever happens, but this would really put "the icing on the cake". You deserve it, but nothing is given...Go Win It ! Good Luck.

A disappointing result but Poole were the best footballing team.
Other than the excellent Hamworthy captain, the only team trying to play good passing football was Poole.
The Poole spirit kept the team trying until the end with a quality goal. Full marks for the whole team and management.

In response to Tom’s comments in the Echo today regarding his concerns that the DSC final result would overshadow the seasons achievements to date, I for one would like to go on record with the following.
Geraldine and I have been watching Poole for one season only. What a club. From the top right through, you have a great bunch of people. All involved have one thing at heart, the good of the football club, and they work tremendously hard to achieve that aim - very often a huge amount of this work being done behind the scenes.
After the achievement of being promoted last year, the team has made a real impact this year in Wessex 1. I should imagine that (once we had bedded in) nobody relished a game against Poole Town – the very least they would have got was a tight competitive match.
So a massive pat on the back to the Board, Committee, Tom & his staff, people who help on match days and of course the supporters – there are none better, they love their club and an beer or ten thrown in for good measure!
Last, but most importantly the squad. Not only a team that has real potential to step on and achieve in this league, but a really tremendous bunch of lads. Every single one who has pulled on the red & white this year has brought something to the team, the very least being 100% effort – long may this continue.
Disappointment over the DSC final yes – but look ahead. This club has achieved so much more this year, than 90 scrappy minutes where it didn’t quite happen for us.
Lets go beat Hamble, then look to a strong year next season. For us it’s well done to everyone involved – overall a great season, with good times ahead.
