Kev Jackson has left, he is now the new manager of Bournemouth Sports. I hope we are all proud of ourselves for helping drive away a decent bloke and also his lad Aaron. This is a big loss for us and will have a knock on effect once everyone realises. I for one wish him luck and thank him for a great job done in bringing along some of our younger players. Who is going to take over the thankless job of reserve team manager - any volunteers from the ones that criticise day in day out?

I have heard the rumours but today someone told me he had gone. What a shame, he did a lot for this club with little appreciation. You can see what will happen next as the youngsters liked him too.

today is a sad one for me.........i thought i would be at PTFC a lot longer, i live 200 yards from the ground, Poole Town Loyal are the best supporters i have ever known, but some remarks and untruths hurt i tried to blank it out.
Its sad as i feel a exodus of young quality players, I asked on a number of ocassions for comments to be constructive, the youngster read this site and they have been offended....

sorry....i did not finish my reply, freedom of speech........ when your up and doing well we knock u down.....
You true supporters are the best, you so called supporters, hangers on, it should never be about the reserves, the priority is the first team.
answer me this, When did you hear about Rooney..........when he played first team football....not reserve football.
I will miss the people behind the scenes, can anyone name them...i will give you a clue...the people that make tea, sandwiches, burgers............put the nets up.
My decision was purely down to helping a long established club Bournemouth Sports from calling it a day......Steve and myself wanted this challenge.
i could handle the the jealous comments made about me and my young players at a couple of grounds but my own so called supporters hurt.
I wish TK and Poole Town Football club well, i will be popping in to see my favorite tea ladies, as well as the Poole Town Loyal around the ground and especially you loyal's behind the goals.
To you others you got what you wanted. TWO FINGERS TO YOU.

Two fingers....glad to see you support kj leaving......... do you fancy or have you the bottle to put your alias name forward to run the reserves.
I have spoken to KJ today he told me he was willing to help martin dobbs take a team to Easton, even though he had officially given his notice to Chris Reeves on friday, but players decided there is no future at PTFC....

Before all those reserves run off to join KJ at Bournemouth Sports perhaps they should stop and consider if they are good enough to get into the side which is well up the table in a league higher than the one they have been struggling in at present fourth from bottom.

Some one has used my name to have a go at TK, please have the bottle to use your own name.
TK is the manager at PTFC he is judged by he results, he is doing a great job and i applaud him, Taffy and Gav, also the players. TK has brought some quality players to the club we might not all agree but he's judge by his results.
I wish him and the guys all the best, i will be supporting PTFC from my dugout.

I dont think this is such a surprise as the rumours have been going round for a long time about KJ as he has a good friendship with the guy at Corfe Mullen who is taking over Bournemouth Sports. I feel sorry that things havent gone so well recently for KJ who has always tried his best for the club, and I wish him all the best at Bournemouth Sports.
As for the future of our reserves, I really hope that the club perseveres with this as I believe that it is extremely beneficial to the club and I am reminded of this every time I see a former reserve team player line up for the 1st team. We may well see a few of the lads join KJ at Bournemouth Sports, good luck to them at a higher level and I hope that if they are ever deemed good enough to play at Wessex standard then they may return to us.
However this shouldnt be the end of our reserve team just the start of a new beginning, results havent gone well recently and so perhaps a few new faces might be beneficial for everyone. I think a change of league needs to be looked at, so that the reserves get to play football on a more regular basis.
With regards to the running of the team, how about a return for our old friend Pete Moore who is out of football at the moment?, at least until the end of the season. He is certainly the kind of character that could get the most out of our young players and has the contacts to bring players in if the enevitable happens and we lose a few players.
So now surely is the time to draw a line under the whole matter, thank KJ for what he has done and wish him all the best at Bournemouth Sports, and any players that may leave with him. But I hope that our reserve team will continue and go from strength to strength. Perhaps a statement for a club official could clarify the future for our reserve team.

What ever individuals views are on KJ leaving, not putting out a reserve side yesterday will only cause the DCFA to come down on the club hard maybe even lose 3 points and a fine we can ill afford. One has to ask where are we going to get a team for the next game? should we run a res side next year? can we get new players at this late stage of the season? as I said what ever the reasons for KJ leaving unfortunatly this whole issue has embarressed our club, the timing really was poor and the yongsters who voted with their feet have wasted every thing that the club started out to do two seasons ago, do they forget the good times when they beat Merthy 3-2 in front of a couple of hundred fans in the FA cup? I think the decison to leave has only proved what many thought, there only in it for themselves. Overall the whole situation has overshadowed just how far this club has come over the last couple of years, promotion, club house, stand, and a good team who will be force next year to name a few. lets move on and remember the good times.

Thank you for your constructive comments, for the first time we are all addressing my situation in a professional manner.
Can i say at this moment in time i have not been appointed Sports manager.
These are the events of the last couple of days.
'Chris Reeves rang me thursday and told me he had been approached by their new chairman of B'MOUTH Sports who was very professional.
He was given position to talk to me. I received a call late Thursday and i said i did not want to discuss this issue at the moment as i have a game on saturday and i did not need any distraction.
I said i would talk to them on Monday. However on friday i was so side tracked i felt i couldn't consentrate and rang Chris and i asked to be relieved as reserve team manager as i cound not give it my all at this moment due to a personal problem, which Chris's company is dealing with. Chris reluctantly accepted.
I rang the players as usual to meet for the game sat as martin was going to take the team. Saturday morning saw 8 players withdraw from the team, i was on the phone until 11 o'clock trying to put a team together, i managed to get 9 players, i discussed this with Martin, as he was in charge, it was decided that to go down to Easton with 8 players would be a walkover, as of the 8 players 4 were players brought in on the day who we had no idea of their standard.
So although i had resigned on Friday i was still trying to round up a team on saturday.
I have been invited to meet the Sports Chairman on Monday at 7pm.
Again thank you all your understanding, nothing has been down under hand, Bournemouth Sports were given permission to talk to me.

Well all i can say is that, I wish KJ all the best to where ever he is appointed next. And a big thank you for what he has done with the reserves and the quality youngsters both him and martin have produced and the achievements he has accomplished. It will be sad to see KJ leave whether some youngsters leave is their choice. Whether Martin stays on i dont know but, i do know he would do his best for the big man who i think is irreplaceable. KJ brings a good spirit to the club and is a big joker with the team. But when changes occur we most support KJs descision and wish him all the best. And now wish Martin the best as he continues to further direct these youngsters towards higher levels within football.
In closing i support KJs descision, i wish you all the best and good luck on whatever you embark on Big man! ;

Hi Having worked alongside KJ last season in the reserves first time out......I would say it was a plesure and I wouldn't miss the chance to work with KJ again. PTFC has is great fan based club and lots of hours and effort are put in the sences that most people on this website take for granted, its not the easist job in the world running a reserve side as I know from last season........however I feel now that PTRFC will not be able to continue in the next few years because I know that some people are not interested in young lads with greater ability than some other first team players in the Dorset Senior League, our average capacity for home game last season was about 20/30 people and most home game days the majority were away fans. The Reserve side needs a hell of a lot more support than it deserves from more loyal supporters!!! (This doesnt include the dads and family that help almost week in week out) Personally I think that the people on this site are great supporters and then you have the childish people that dont apperaite what goes on and are proberly here to stir, therefore may I suggest that you guys would like to run the Reserve team yourselves? Cheers

You are being harsh criticizing the supporters, it is not that we are not interested in the reserves. I go to as many matches as possible, but its not easy when the 1st team are playing the same day.
All the best KJ whatever you decide to do next.

Hi
Sorry, it did sound harsh........but the problem we had last season was we took donations to pay for the referee fee because we had not the same level of helpers that the first team have, e.g Jo Jackson did food and drinks for both teams as well as match day secretary, wash and dry the kits ready for use and act as a mini bus for away games. KJ used to meet me later on to put out the kits and set up the changing rooms ready for use, then manage the team alongside Martin Dobbs after KJ stroke. Then I did alot to.......I put the nets up, flags out, looked after the referee's, help with the kit lay out, open all the gates so the public could access the match, I also fetched the match balls if they went over the fence into the river if I wasnt linesmen. So really I can say I never had a saturday life starting eaily and finishing late, I was the first person there and the last person to leave...........so what I'm saying is that the first team has lots of help and the reserves didnt have as much help as we could of done with.
Cheers

What Paul says is right what he did was superb and very much appreciated I have emphasised constantly that we need more commitment from more people to help run the reserves that just has to be forthcoming it will be an impossible task otherwise

im my opinion we should thank kevin for what he as 'done' for the club. and both parties should move on. he has left now, there is no point dwelling on the matter. chris, you need to end this fuss about the reserves and find a manager. i dont think martin would want the job. yes the reserves have not had the best season but that is due to having a different team each week. finally kevin, i believe you posting comments on here in response to people slating you, only encourages more slating. i suggest you move on with your head held high, you do not need to explain yourself to them. with the greatest repect stop replyin immediately, concentrate on taking pur players next year, joke mate. all the best

Message to Steve Bean. Reading this site i can see no improvement to the farcical, immature comments made once again. The forum (cant really call it fans forum) has been dragged down again especially over this link.
Steve i believe to end all this rubbish its time to close the forum until next season when we can start a fresh.
The two teams can do the talking i.e First team winning the Dorset Senior & League Cup finishing in top 8 the second team moving up the table and laying good foundations for next season (sorry i have not mentioned youth teams but good luck to you all)
Not even worth appealing to the fans to stop the postings as i believe it is not the fans making comments, but its strange that other forums don't seem to have the same idiots commenting
Good luck

You have said yourself that it is not fans causing trouble, just a couple of idiots. Make it a members only forum and then everyone will have to register their email address. I dont see why everyone should suffer because of just a couple of silly posts.

To all,
OK - have deleted a number of posts today.
I'm definitely leaning towards making it a members only board in that anyone can read it but only registered members can post threads or replies.
Most of the true fans have already registered anyway so hopefully others who have not yet registered won't mind doing so?
Unless I hear a chorus of disapproval within the next week then I'll plan to make it members only (for posting) a week from today..............
Please let me know if you agree or not...........
Cheers,
Steve
