Looking at the talent around the Poole Teams, who is your tip to go all the way?
I'll start off;
Scotty Hancock to be taken on by a pro club in the next year.

I think we have quite a few players capable of playing at a higher level, and I think it will be hard to keep Gary Funnell again in the summer.
However of the younger players currently playing for Poole Town, I would have to say in the 1st team Sean Hogan and Chris Knowles, and in the reserves Dave Sturgess and Paul Maynard.

many youngsters in the poole team have a good future. they just have to keep their feet on the ground, work hard and success will come along with it.

I for one would like to have seen Aaron Jackson progress, I thought he was a strong land with a future. But as you asked my opinion of a potential superstar I wouldhave to say Matty Sturgess if he bulks up a bit.

i have spent time over the years going to watch gary bartlett, carl chivers dave sturgess and the rest of the ashdown team. they all have the capability of playing a higher stantard they presently play at, however there is only one player that i believe will make pro and that is karanjit aujla!!!! yes i no , not at your club but your local rivals hamworthy but he is a great talent!!! i take my hat off to him fort getting in the england school boys. however i have an enormous amount of respect for kj for bringing these youngsters to the club and i believe he will continue to do so.

Having made the offer of 'free admission' for the under sixteen fans I see no reason why we can't run with this until the end of the season. The reasoning behind the offer is to attract more supporters to the Club and if they bring anyone over sixteen then it's good for our coffers as well!! An added consideration is that many teenagers cannot afford the admission fee given all the other things there are on which to spend their money!!It will be interesting to see how many actually take advantage of the offer and if any of our supporters can think of different ways to swell attendances. I know the prerequisite is good football and they certainly get that most of the time but are we forgetting anything else? Comments please.

Maybe getting some flyers made up, so the school can give them to the pupils to take home to their parents. might create some interest ?

I'm under 16 and i come to every game which is at home with my friend. We occasionally bring other friends, but honestly i don't know many under 16s interested in local football. And i think karanjit aujla will do very well in his career!!

Well done Clive, great idea which not only is a great gesture but I believe will also reap benefits for the club, as you say not many 15/16 year olds have too much spare money these days, however if they bring a parent or become fans of Poole Town for years to come then this is great for the future of our club.

I think you've all lost the plot with this posting. Forgive me if i'm wrong but the original question was to debate who you thought was the individual wh may progress to greater things in football.
Current first team players, reserves and youth accepted. You'll be asking questions about knitting on this trail next.................knit one, pearl one.

I think the flyer is a good idea and I'll run it past Bill at our Board Meeting on Saturday a.m. I will also be looking for a 47 year old supporter trying to climb over the fence before the game!!!! I, personally, couldn't get over the pitch barrier let alone the fence!

If the young lads take up mountain climbing then they can all get to the top, but dont worry if a club higher than bottam half of dorset 1 comes in for any of the players or managment then im sure the pro clubs will out bid them and make their move. As for the person posting comments who is in the know, knowing all the scouts including Arsenal I can only assume (i may be wrong) they must be either a player, the players family or managment as scouts dont walk round the pitch telling everyone who they are (unless they are looking for a place to pitch their tent)
