I see the Reserves lost again yessterday to the bottom club Shaftesbury, and are now eleventh out of fourteen in the league. Are you still sure we are going about this the right way kj?

I see once again you are quick to come on here when the reserves lose, didnt see you praising them last week when they won 3-1.
Do you think that it helps their confidence when they look on here and see you having a go, they are all young lads and wont win every week but are improving all the time.

They have just lost to the bottom Team and are third from bottom, it is now over half way through the season where is the improvement you talk about? The league is not that good and if these youngsters are as good as you keep telling us they are they should be at least over halfway up the league. Perhaps they should have gone in the under eighteen league and not in the Mens League where they appear to be not strong enough.

So what do you propose to do about it then townie? It is very difficult or near on impossible to attract wessex league standard players to play in your reserve team in the dorset league, therefore I would say that you are far better off fielding youngsters who may well improve to become wessex league standard in the future.

The whole point of the reserve team is about personal development of each player it is about the end result not just the game result K J has a hard job he has to make a team up each week out of what he is given or what is available so forget the league position. Look at the big picture.

very quick to criticize yet again but did you see the game, we were 2-1 up at half time, looking certain for the win.
But credit to Shaftsbury especially the Keeper who had an outstanding debut , both teams played well, we fought right to the wire with them and could have won it in the last 5 minutes but for an outstanding performance by their keeper yet again making two quality saves which were goal bound.
I don't believe you are a true PTFC supporter anyway, cause you don't comment when we win.

KJ, There are plenty of players around here who are playing in the DPL all under the age of 20, have you not thought about looking at them??. if they are in the DPl and playing week in week out surely they are worth a look at??. just a suggestion KJ, i am in no way trying to have a go at the way you run Poole Town FC, as i for one think you do a great job.

And why would they want to drop a league!?

In Reality they are not dropping a league, as they will have the prospect to step up to the next level of the football pyramid which they might not be able to do at their current club.sometimes you need to drop down to go higher!

Why is it as soon as you say anything about the reserves you are accused by jk of not being a true fan. Sometimes you have to tell the truth to these players and tell them this is not school football and perhaps a few of them are not as good as they think they are. To hear jk carry on you would think we have the cream of the players under 20 we clearly do not, I agree with Outsider on that score

we finished 6th last season with almost the same players as we have this season, however trying to get the best to play for us at the moment is not as simple as it may seem, i have tried to bring in players from other clubs but they are content were they are but have told me they wish to join next season.
We have only been able to field the same team once this season one game we won and one we lost. First teamers are not available due to injury etc. TK has also tried to bring players to the club but they want first team football.
I do not have time to look at other players since i had my stroke it would be nice for some one to offer their services and do this for TK and myself as we have enough on our plates at present.
We know we are struggling at present but your comments need to be constructive and positive to what we are trying to do here at PTFC, remember where Carl Chivers, Paul Bayston, Ali Harris, Gary Bartlett and Lee Mitchenor came from.
Our position is irrelevant, try to be positive.

Thank you for your explanation kj. I wish you and the team well lets hope you can at least finish half way so that it will be easier to attract new players next year. I believe people always are attracted to winning sides more than losing sides. I will now say no more on the matter, and thank you for your hard work.

None of you know what your on about Scott Hancox is a real talent for the future, he is strong, mobile and has a touch to rival all others in the Wessex League. I cannot see how this hasnt been picked up on before by some of the other so called fans, ARE YOU WATCHING THE SAME GAMES!!! hope to c him involved tonight against Brockenhurst, or surely he will move on to somewhere where his talents will be showcased and he will be used to his full ability.

Scott hancox has not gone unrecognized by TK and myself. Also Leicester City scout Mike Walsh has inquired about him on numerous occasions.
He was one of my players at AFC B'mouth then Christchurch, he suffered a serious break to his Tib and Fib and he needs to be brought on slowly, He is a polite young man and knows he has a future at PTFC, you may see him near the end of the season as TK is a fan of his, but he understands he needs to build up his confidence after serious break. he is loyal and enjoys playing at PTFC and of course me and martin.

kj I see you do not appear very happy with the proposed Reserve Team Only that may be introduced next season by the DCFA (on the Dorset Football Forum) . Would we not be better entering our Reserves in the Wessex Combination if this happens, or if we are to continue to have such a young side in the under eighteen league or both?

we were unable to look at the new players due to match being called off.
However i have a ex Swindon Town youth player that will be moving to Poole soon and he may figure in tomorrows squad.
I decided noty to call tomorrows game off due to having 4 players in the county side, so a few players will get a chance to play.
Possible team
Lee Mitchenor, Paul Maynard, Paul Nisbet, Marc Jackson, Ian Thornton, Sam Dobbs, Dave Sturgess, Scott Hancox, Callum Mcleod, Luke Turbey, Chris Johnson, Chris Snell, Matthew Sturgess, Nick kirby, Mark Wells.
