Not much about the Reserves of late. I see they are already 10 points behind the leaders, so not much chance of promotion this year. Surly that should be a priority for this season as well as establishing the First Team in their League.

I heard the DPL are not admitting any more Reserve sides anyway, so not much chance of promotion, unless they go into the Wessex Combination, which is for Reserve sides only.

I believe the proposal is (It is only a proposal at this time) that their should be no more than three Reserve sides in the DPL.Those three places are at present occupied by Bridport, Dorchester and Hamworthy United, but that does not mean the Reserves should not go for it.

Poole town reserves would not be good enough to go into the wessex combination division 1, maybe division 2. Its a good very good standard!

you obviosly don't know the quality of our players it is not about winning leagues but the proper development of the youngsters and a proper forum for the return to match fitness of injured senior players

That was the point of my original question is the DSL the best place to develop youngsters etc or should we be trying to get them in a higher league. The Wessex Combination is not that good apart from a couple of teams and certainly not as strong as the Dorset Premier.

That was the point of my original reply. Higher leagues do not admit Reserve teams (except DPL) as they are part of the pyramid structure.
