Interesting to read on pitchside that Poole are locked in a battle with Brock and Ham Utd to sign ex Christchurch keeper Max Frampton, who would undoubtedly be an excellent addition. However it also states that Hamworthy are looking likely to win the race for his signature, a little surprising when they already have a good keeper in Nick Hutchins. If Tommy is obviously looking to stengthen the goalkeeping area then perhaps he would do well to try and take Hutchins if Hamworthy secure the signing of Frampton.
Personally I feel that we already have a keeper of outstanding potential in Leigh Mitchener, and if we stick with him for the rest of the year then he will continue to improve and have the experience for future seasons. Are we building for the future or looking for instant results. Difficult when the fans demand good results, who'd be a manager hey!?

Any truth Graham Kemp has finally retired? or is it just rumour, I see he was an un-used sub on sat, I think if he has, we owe him a big thank you, as one of local Footballs Mr nice guys, for helping us out during our injury crisis, but I am not convinced it worked out the way we or he hoped, we did concede a lot of goals during his time here, not all down to Kempy for sure, but still a lot anyway!! any views? good luck to him in his next job.

my understanding is that kempy is still very much involved but likely to be taking a back seat for a few games---still a few miles left in the tank yet i suspect!

it was nice to read this thread, with positive remarks being made, i also beleive we have 2, quality keepers in Spillsie and Mitch, i have known mitch since he was 15, infact he made his first team appearance against Totton for Xchurch, so to see him play last night brought back memories off his debut to me.
So tommy need not look any farther than spillsie & Lee, spillsie will help lee to become a better keeper.
