like most people who attended the Town v salisbury game on saturday we again were treated to a goalkeeping display well below par or well below what is expected for our team as we embark on our 1st season in wessex one. I am not mentioning any names as that would be unfair on the player involved but if he is to be our number one this coming season i hope that things improve as at a higher level we need to be strong in defence with a keeper who can command his area. I am sure that TK has his own ideas & am sure that things will improve but we were rather spoilt last year with the excellent mr scriven, can we find another one like him? ??

Phew, your discreet!! I feel; this is a bit overboard about Spills, ok he did,nt have his best game on Sat but to turn on him this early in the season is a bit unkind, lets get behind him, if after a few poor games then maybe we can think again, but only last week he was probably the MOM how quickly the fickle supporter forgets! and for me, as good as people thought Scriven was last season I was not convinced he was that good, and certainly he had a few mares himself last season.

JJ - you've gone and done it now.
Until you mentioned Spills, I had no idea who Regular Fan was talking about.

Glad to see some support for Spills, OK so he had an off game but surely shouting abuse at him from the side of the pitch won't help his confidence. A little bit of support across the whole pitch would help as a lot of other players have to work hard before the goal scorer can put it in the back of the net!

spills is a top keeper, he just needs to make sure he stays injury free. and plus we now have two back up keepers, in mitch who has proved with performances so far that he is quality, and another new lad who was at cuthbury today, who hopefuly can prove himself at this level, iv heard hes made a solid start in reserves

I'll say it again, Spills was superb against Wimborne, what a problem for TK & Gav, Spils can be brought in for experience & leigh can be played in other"not so important" games. Also, dont forget Ryan Park in the FA youth games, he's outstanding as well ! Lets get behind the boys,& show them our support. "up the Dolphins"

Just to let you the supporters know that i have sent young 16 year old keeper Joe Dibben for a trial at Saints, i felt he deserved a chance after a number of good performances in the reserves.
I was asked not to play him in the FA Cup by the Saints, hence why he was not on the bench for the u18s FA cup.
I hope he does well as im sure you the supporters do....

Ackers had a great game on saturday against poole borough and a clean sheet on his debut. he is more experienced than ryan so i think he will be there for a while to come.
