Just to answer a fans question and to clarify Rob Webbs position at PTFC. young Rob has been illegally approached by Hamworthy and they have filled his head with false promises.
He left Hamworthy because he wasn't happy, I gave him a place in my side and he looked happy, he told me that Mike Buxton had approached him to go back to Hamworthy (illegal approach).
I know Rob from AFC Bournemouth days as i was his matchday coach, Rob works very hard and always gives his best, but is easily influenced by people that are full false promises.
I wish him well, he knows where i am.
I have told Rob I will not stand in his way and he can go if that is what he wants, and i wish him well. He knows where i am and i will be there for him if he ever wanyts a chat. I hope that clears up young Robs situation.

If young Webb reads the Dorset Forum website, it would appear not everyone at HUFC wants him back, think before you go, at least PTFC want you and will play you!

I think the same should apply to reserves players as it does to 1st teamers if they're not sure they want to be here they should go!

Hamworthy United have made formal complaints regarding illegal approaches to their players this season. If the Club are sure he has been approached by HU a complaint should be made to Dorset. The rules are quite clear that Saturday club's must give 7 day notice of approach to another saturday club before speaking to a player. Did Rob originally come from HU? If so was a 7 day notice of approach given then.

Hamworthy were given seven days notice of approach from our club, we even waived seven days for a player from our first team squad to go the other way.
They have not given our club seven days notice for him but he has admitted to being approach by Mike Buxton from Hamworthy Utd.
Also since Rob Webb joined us he has informed me he has been dropped from the County Schools side.

As one of Rob's fellow players i want to say he has been superb since he joined and has brought a new element to the side. We seem more attacking from the midfield and we are now starting to fully settle as a side. Its always going to be difficult with injuries and first teamers comin in, but we are now all aware of each other. Im sure we all want Rob to stay. I to have had promises from Mike Buxton before, not this season, but i know from experience he can be very convincing, but then lets you down.

I wish people would check out the facts before going on line.Rob Webb's father rang Andy Torevell the Hamworthy United Reserve Team Manager to ask if it was possible for his son to return to the club or was the door closed on him. He was told that if he wished to return he would have to ask for a transfer and pay for it himself as he and not Hamworthy was asking for the move. Both Robs parents also took him down to the County Ground on a training night and this was the first time that Mike Buxton knew of Robs wishes.Unfortunately players do not always tell the truth perhaps explaining why after just getting into the Hamworthy side he decided to go to Poole Town in the first place, not that I think youre Club did anything improper but players talk to one another.I do not however understand what Rob being dropped by the Dorset Schools Team has to do with Hanworthy or Poole Town come to that

I heard that Rob only joined Poole Town because he thought he would get a look in for the first team. As some of the youngsters already have. And when he realised that wasnt going to happen he changed his mind, and thats why hes returning to Hamworthy.

I Know Rob Webb and don't believe for one moment the previous message comments are valid, my only worry for him is if it does'nt work out for him at HUFC where does he go from there? personally I hope he stays till at least the end of the season as he only played 5 games for us so far and that is'nt really long enough to make a judgement on PTFC, however I wish him luck with what ever he decides.

After reading the comments already submitted, i think that there are some things to clear up. Firstly, i was not illegally approached by Mike Buxton or any Hamworthy coach. I decided upon my own initiative that perhaps i made the wrong move joining Poole Town. I was only at Ham Utd for a couple of months and as a young and naive footballer i thought i could get better football elsewhere. Now dont for a minute think that Poole Town have not been good to me because they have. I was played in my preferred position and everyone was friendly and I owe many thanks to KJ and Rob Bayston for that. I just think Hamworthy are a better club for me. I am sorry to people i have let down but i have to make my own decisions and having made the wrong one i must learn from it. Thanks to everyone at PTFC for their support.
