Just to let the supporters know that i have let Ryan Park go on loan to Stourpaine who play in the Dorset Premier League.
I need Ryan to be playing a good standard as he is only 16 years old, so I had a chat with him and we both decided this would be a good move for him to return to the club he played for last season.
I beleive Ryan has a future with Poole Town long term and will return when required, he has made it quite clear he doesn't want to leave PTFC.

RYAN is not the Poole Town Youth Keeper, ryan is one of the two reserve keepers we have at the club.
He is one of the best keepers around for his age and has pledged his loyalty to Poole Town. I would have no hesitation in playing Ryan if Lee Mitchener needs a jolt.
One for the future, as is Dave Sturgess etc etc etc, so i think if your a true supporter then you would be interested.

ryan is a better keeper than your current one, he is only 16 and does play like than an experieced keeper. maybe one for the future if you ask me he is one for the present. you telling him to go on loan to stourpaine is more likely to knock his confidence. a poor managers decision i am sorry to say even though you have done a great job as manager.

Ive seen ryan play several games this season and last season for his youth side, hes a quality young player with alot ahead of him. i understand and hope hes only being loned out for convenience purposes, and will return soon to battle for his place.
Future looks good ;D

challenge for his spot?! are you joking? he's a 16 year old lad, not really first team quality. and as for loaning him out to a pub side like stourpaine, will just knock his confidence like someone else said. he will get knocked about and will suffer in the loan-term. we have had so many keepers at poole in the past two seasons, i think we need a steady no.1 who will stay with the club.
i know we have scriven at the moment and hes done ok, but he will returning to AFCB soon and whos gona play then? spillsy? leigh mitchener? dont really think either of them are up to the standard t be honest. the only keeper who has impressed me in the past couple of seasons was Neil Potter.
whats he doing now? could be worth a shout tommy?!

I am astonished at the previous message, if we are to build for the future then the Ryan Parks of the world need to be netured carefully, as for being only 16 and not 1st team material, poppycock! Ask TK about Chivers, Bayston, Sturgess, Byrom, Snell, and there are more in the pipeline all 16 that have played in the 1st team on numourous occasions already this season, never letting him, or the club down, indeed probably saving the club much needed funds, they play for the love of it, Parks may not be better than Scriven at the moment, and with very little to choose between Mitchener and Parks he needed to go out on loan to get games in. well done KJ, as for Potter, good as he may have been, if he wanted to play for us he would be here now! why do we always knock PTFC, last year everyone said we needed a Reserve team we now have one, full of youth that is the envy of many in the area, not result orientated, but ready to support the 1st team as and when called on, as has been the case on many occasions this year, what did we do last term? BUY, lets not forget what these youngsters are about and look forward, Ryan may well be playing for us again this season if required, and at least he will be match fit.

Ryan played a whole season in the dorset premier last season from what i have heard. I have seen him play in this league and he seemed to cope very well. I think that using his age as an excuse for not being good enough is unfair. I think that he will cope fine on loan at stourpaine but may have a negative impact on his confidence as they dont often win much. I think that he does deserve a chance at poole town to try and establish himself.

Just to clear up the matter of going to Stourpaine, Ryan came to me and asked if he could play for the team he represented last season, i only gave him my backing, at least he will get a lot of practice, which he wants.
One for the knockers, Neil Potter walked away from Poole Town he knew that a Res side was iminant.
Also Ryan played his first game for Stourpaine and they won......good luck to him and Stourpaine.
He will be back

ryan is plying at a higher level than he would be playing if he played for the reserves. what is your problem . yes he may not have a chance of getting into the first, he is playing higher than most of the supposed good players like sturgess and chivers. these players belive they are the finished product already.where as ryan requested to go on loan to stour to learn good lad ry and good luck

to anon
Before making comments about players perhaps you should have asked those mentioned. I'm sure both Chivers and Sturgess would not think that they are the finished product and have a lot to learn but comments like yours certainly will not help. Maybe this shows that you don't know quite as much about football as you think. Good luck to Ryan at Stourpaine.

i have just read the post about myseslf and do feel that my decision to go on loan to stourpaine was a good one under the circumstances. I understand that it is hard for kj as there is myself and leigh fighting for one spot in the reserves. I am willing to fight for my place as im sure leigh is . I wanted to go to stourpaine so that i was able to play games and to hopefully come back to poole having learnt a few things. I just want to play football and if it means going to stourpaine for a bit then i will. I do want to play for poole and will continue to come to training and work hard and hopefully have a chance to play. There is no bad felings from me towards kj for not playing me as leigh is a good keeper and it is a hard decision for kj to decide who plays.

in response to what pt fan said i believe that i do no alot about football as i have played and managed alot higher than the wessex division .in my opinion, which this message board is about, i think that chivers and sturgess have become a bit too comfortable and may think that they do not need to improve. i may be wrong. i am not saying they are not good players as i believe that one of them not mentioning which one would and should be playing for a pro club. you have good players they could become better and better if they improved slight aspects of their game. all of your youngsters are quality and all are capable of helping you to win the DSS league and in years to come with Park will win the top division in the area.

i have played with ryan in youth football and last year at stourpaine and he is a quality keeper. playing for stourpaine is going to keep him match fit so if poole town decide to call on his services then at least he is going to be match fit. carl chivers is another player that i played with at youth level and he has the capabilty to destroy defences even in the wessex league and poole town should try and keep on to him and the other youngsters for aslong as you can, and those people that are posting messages as anon that are putting down the youngsters should take a long look at themselves and should not call themselves football fans, you should be encouraging the talented youngsters and not putting them down, well done to KJ for getting a team with such potential. ;D
