After watching yesrerdays game I got a strange feeling of deja vu. Already this season we have lost twice to Lymington as we did to VTFC last season. As well as New street beating us at home last season. So now the games against Locks Heath now take on even greater significance. I hope that failure to win big games will not cost us again this season as it did last time. With a squad full of players who have played at a higher level surely we should be getting better results against the other top sides

Well considering that Tommy labelled this as a must win game, I wasnt really convinced with the way we played. Although you could argue that we had more of the play, we didnt really create much and once again silly errors at the back conceded goals. Despite this, we could have grabbed a draw in the 2nd half, Aaron hitting the bar probably the best chance of the game.
We are quite a way behind the top two now, and I cant see Lymington dropping many points during the season. However nothing is decided in November and there are many games yet to be played.Personally I cant see Locks Heath lasting the pace (they lost 4-0 to Ringwood yesterday) but the two fixtures against them will now be vital. However we have to make sure we dont drop any more points to the lower teams from now until the end of the season.,
I guess if we just scraped into 2nd place none of us would mind too much just as long as we get promotion. Got to improve though!

Unfortunately the team has gone back to playing like they did before the Blackfield & Langley game - taking ages to get the ball forward. Personally I feel the ball needs to get up the pitch quicker, to feet, rather than just lobbing it into a crowded 6 yard box and hoping a Poole head will connect with it.
Let's see what tomorrow brings! Good luck lads.
