we have quite a good following here at Poole Town and most of us travel to away matches. So why do other clubs have a poor showing of supporters or why do they not travel with the club when they play away Is it because we are a friendly club? or is it that other clubs do not make people, any people, even their own supporters feel welcome? I have noticed that when we play away, the majority of supporters in the crowd are our supporters, do the home teams not have as many supporters as we do?

I think it's because our supporters are a little more mature and perhaps have a little more disposable income maybe. Also, we have a reputation of being a very loyal bunch, and, we are the friendliest club I have ever known, which makes for the great atmosphere around the bar, ground, forum, etc

By 'mature' I suppose you mean 'old' sterte! It's the loyalty that counts.

It's one of the things I noticed when I first started going to games, the support away from home is tremendous and just goes to show the potential of Poole Town FC. Hopefully it will get even better once we have our own ground and rise up the leagues.

My thinking on this is that the management and staff in this club from my self the groundsman to the chairman are all approach able and will try our best to answer your questions.
I have worked at other clubs in this league where the groundsman and supporters seem to be very distant from the clubs management, and things like this show and people pick up on this ...

I'm still pleasantly surprised that I can chat to the board, make a suggestion, and that suggestion can be actioned. Think the groundsman should stop wearing his halloween mask though :-)

Then again suppose I should wear mine in daylight!! Another positive with the club is the amount of volunteers and general can do attitude.

Yes I suppose most of the supporters that can do, do help in any way they can, and a lot of people do give up spare time to pitch in as well.

A big Well done to the girls who made sure Brian from Morecombe got to Moneyfields, then a lift back to Swanage.
The girls even had to endure some lip from the opposing fans during the game, and dished it back ;D ;D Quality!!

I am printing off fixture lists to start a flyers through doors campaign this week. If anybody wants some please let me know. Board- if I print enough off, can we hand them out on the gate, for people to put in windows, cars, etc? Cookiemonster, your posters are done, will drop them off on Thursday as can't make Swanage, just for a change...
