I'll go 3-1. Fareham are a good side but will our pace be too much for them ?
Taylor, Austin and Middleton.

Don't usually get involved in this but.....................!!!
2-1 to Poole. I think Fareham finished last season incredibly well and will be strong from the off this season. Got a feeling this will be a nailbiter.
Goals - Austin and Bailey-Pearce.
If enough people fancy predicting every game I'll add a little league table to the website to see 'who knows our boys the best!'. How would we work it? 1 point for making any prediction (to encourage people to keep doing it) 2 points for getting Poole score right 2 points for getting opponents score right 2 points for predicting win, draw, defeat 2 points for getting exact score right. (meaning you will have already got 7 points already from the first 4 scores above)
What do we think? Anything to add / amend?? If enough people are interested (6+) I'll prepare a messageboard thread for each game. And............. I'll even throw in a bottle of champagne (cheap!!) for the winner at end of season.....................
Regards,
Steve

Steve - sounds like a great idea.
How about extra points for predicting correct Poole goalscorers?
If you really want to go mad - massive extra bonus points for correct crowd prediction!
But don't want to create too much work for you!

Ok, Have set up the Prediction League on the main website. I've added links to it from the Contents on left hand side of website and also added bit on main screen about it. Also you can go to it from here -> www.poole-town.fsnet.co.uk/prediction_league_200809.htmDid think about crowd but for away games we'll all probably look at the same fixture last season and pick roughly the same amount! So - not sure about that. If enough want it then we can add it in? What do you think? Also not sure about goalscorers either.......... again - any thoughts? I'll leave as is for now and we'll see how it goes......... Stfcinbmth - you don't have to pick a score that no-one else has (ie your 1-1), I think we should be able to pick whatever score we like. Otherwise the last one to post each week will be at big disadvantage! And we may get more than 6 people in time........ Feel free to change your predictions up to an hour before each kick-off as long as they are on this messageboard. Hope this is all ok with everyone, Cheers, Steve

Or is it restricted to 6 players?
If not stick me down for 3-1 to Poole Town

Poole town to win 3-1. Austen 1, Dibba 1 and hubbard 1. Crowd attendance - 185-190?
Steve does this now automatically enter me into the league? I'm not an IT geek so not sure what to do!!!

Steve - I am quite happy to keep to your suggestion. Thanks for setting this up - should generate more interest & lively debate.
Interesting everyone has predicted Poole to win - what a confident bunch we are!
Roll on tomorrow.
