What is your favourite day out? ;D
I like Swanage...........a little ride on the steam train, a stroll along the front. Perfect.

After a week looking after three grandsons I'll take anything for a rest slepe!

Love the Dorset area so just to get down and see the retired folks once every week or two is a delight. Normally combine the trip with driving my corvette down and meeting up with other American car owners on a Sunday at view point. It's worked out even better since I've started following Poole Town FC, I enjoy the trips to Tatnam. Love the Quay as well and am looking forward to August 22nd when there will be an American car meet along it. I've got my " I Follow Poole Town FC " sticker in the rear window ready.

Me too m3. I try to get 'home' three or four times a year. The Sea View view point is good and so is the Quay and I like to visit the places I loved as a child and young person such as Branksome Chine, the woods, Upper Parkstone, Poole High Street, Bournemouth and so on. Nostalgia eh?

Brian, it baffles me why the local holiday and leisure industry have not got behind the two biggest clubs in Dorset with more financial/advertising backing. I say that with all respects to other clubs in Dorset but Bournemouth and Poole have the largest resources to draw on.
Whenever I visit the area it always makes me feel like I'm entering a holiday zone and gives off the feel good factor which in it's self would draw more away supporters to the area if one or both clubs ever made the top two leagues. A good financial incentive why more business's should support the local clubs ?

I'm thinking a climate similar to Morecambe, more rain, then people may go to the match instead of the beach. Have you parked a car at Sandbanks recently? £5 for four hours.........might as well go to the match ;D
