Tomorrow we will hand the championship to Totton. Regardless what they do themselves.
Overall they are the team most deserving, if we can't win it.
Good luck to them in their new league... ;D ;D
We will be with them soon.

I haven't dared risk saying this until now but we could still finish second!

::)Oh god that was dire, couldn't string two passes together. What we need is a player that can attack the full backs down the flanks and get in a few good crosses, but where do we find one of those? 0-0 by the way

The Wimborne match was always going to be a hard act to follow but in all fairness VT are a better side than Wimborne from what I've seen in both games against them. They are well organised, good at the back and quick up front side. Unfortunarely the later looked to have stemmed our attacking play as Gilly got sucked into a defensive role to counteract their two fast forwards, number seven and watch their number ten, Bowers, who was very dangerous in the earlier return fixture at their place. The positive was we didn't concede and seemed to counteract the breakaway type goal that has seen us concede against the likes of Totton. My man-of-the-match was Gilly who worked his socks off at the back. Other than that a few of our lads had a bit of an Off day but the memory of the week before more than made up for it.

Their number three, Diaper, put a bit of a dampner on our forwards ;D

Dire is the right word stfc. "Wingers" yes please, but who is going to head in the crosses?? I was thinking of young Ayres, but unfortunately his game is not suited to this style of up and under footy

;DBrowners not too bad with his head, and Rico. Rico for centre forward?
Political reasons as to why he doesn't get much of a game

I must agree it was not the best of games. Poole gave the ball away too cheaply on many occasions (Taffy being the main offender in my eyes) and were lucky not to be punished. Browners had a great opportunity early on but chose to pass when a shot was definitely on, then very uinlucky when he hit the post. The second half was really dominated by VT - but well done to our goalie for a couple of fine saves.
Glad to hear comments about wingers - something I have said before - we leave half the pitch empty at times. What about Tref sticking to the wing?
Still I amlooking forward to next season as, in my first season as an active suppporter, I have seen a team with some good players and a lot of support to take the team higher which is great for the club.

Saturday was a good demonstration of our shortcomings. We need the following, assuming the players we have remain. A striker. A left back. A winger. (Right) A mid-field general, who has good mobility and vision. A large sideboard for the multitude of cups we will win. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
