Yes, neutral1 is right, it is correct. I mentioned it to the Mayor of Poole when I first contacted him. By "professional" I presume it means League 2 or above - doesn't it?

By proffesional, I would presume that means players and coaches get paid a wage. Weymouth are proffesional aren't they?? If the local council had supported the club during it's tenure of the "Stadium" we might have had a club further up the pyramid. What was it 56 years of rates, that should have been worth something. If it had been an old ruin somewhere, then I guess it would have been offered help. Still that's all past, if not forgotten. The Poole and Bournemouth area seem not to be able to support one team if the Cherries are an example. I think it has something to do with the ever increasing number of "second" homes and commuters to London. I know a lot of people who live in Poole area and regularly drive up to London at the weekend to support one of the "millionaire" clubs. No good for the local community, we have to accept that the local clubs will struggle to progress. Personally, I find most of the games in the premiership boring stalemates...........that certainly can't be said about Poole. So I will be going down to Tatnam...........and looking forward to it.

I think "professional" in this case means league status but I'm not sure. However, you're right again slepe12 in almost everything else you say! When I first went to the Stadium it WAS a bit of an old ruin. It was the advent of speedway and dog racing that destoyed it in the end although we didn't realise that at the time.
