Hi All good job I didn't go to Dorchester judging by Steve's report. I have had over the last few weeks some worries about the direction we seem to be going. I have always been one of those supporters that tend to say 'well the Manager is the Manager, so let him Manage' But I must say over the last few weeks I am starting to wonder WHAT is going on, in MY opinion Gary Funnell was our best player. Dave Sturgess our best young player. Max Frampton our Best goal keeper. All gone because of the Manager? Who has come in to replace these players, and have they improved us? I don't think so. I know it must be hard for a Manager to keep people happy and keep improving the team but it doesn't help losing three of the best LOYAL players we had. Any thoughts out there.

After much thought on the game we played last night i am wondering why it all went so horribly wrong. Steve Cuss was amazing when he first joined us and the squad seemed to improve overnight so either he is doing something different which i dont think so or because he has to work with an ever changing squad.Perhaps Tommy should stop thinking that the grass is greener with other clubs cast offs and have faith in the ones we have and let steve train them. We need some continuiity and the players need to know who they are playing next to so that they know each others game because at the moment they dont know who or where to pass. Please lets have a squad that doesnt change week after week. At the moment we are running around the field like the closing sequence of the benny hill show.

To be honest the Dorset Senior Cup was probably our best chance of silverware this season. That chance has now gone so the players must now ensure that we win something ( Hopefully the League) to prevent another season with nothing to show for all the time , effort ,and money spent on this team.

Sorry guys but I am going to go against ur opinions so far and pledge my support to Tommy and Steve Cuss. Yes of course we are all disappointed to lose last night however, these guys should be judged on our season overall and not on one game.
Tommy is excellent at bringing players in and seems to have great contacts in the local area, whilst Cuss seems to be an excellent coach with great ideas and I think he has been a breath of fresh air to Poole, being a keen football coach myself I was watching him last night and I would say his personnel and tactical changes were spot on but it just didn't happen on the night.
Although disappointed to see Funnell leave, in my opinion no player should dictate where he wants to play and should be proud just to put on the shirt, and I still believe that Harvell is the best keeper in the league and believed that to be the case even before he arrived at Poole.
A comment has also been made that players have not been brought in to replace these players which is quite a ridiculous statement as quality players have been brought in over the last few weeks, Kevin Gill and Gatesy to name just a couple.
Lets put a bad result last night behind us, and support the management and players through to the end of the season

Everyone is upset about the result against Portland and it's natural enough. However, Dolphin's comments make a lot of sense too so let's get behind the manager, coach and players as usual! As I said somewhere else on this site we can still win the league and even if we don't it's stll been a great season with better things to come in the future.
