Every game is an important game, non so more than the next three saturdays. The first one up sees us hopefully getting back to winning ways this saturday at Lymington Town away, the following Saturday looks to be a huge six pointer with AFC Totton at home which is followed by the F.A Vase 4th round home tie again at home versus Consett, who make the long journey down from Durham...this game being just 4 games from Wembley. Sanwiched in between those games also,is an important Wessex league cup game versus Romsey Town at home. And another possible route to a Cup Final. Sat 5th Jan Lymington T (away) League Tue 8th Jan Romsey T (Home) Weesex Cup Sat 12th Jan AFC Totton (Home) League Sat 19th Jan Consett (Home) F.A Vase. A snippet of 50 years ago, taken from a recent programme.

thanks neutral 1 for the programme posting. Just seeing the names of the players. Jim Rollo the goalie returned to league football after his time with the Town. Ron Oosthuizen was a South African International #11 who could run like the wind occasionly forgetting to take the ball with him!! Jack MacDonald later became mine host at the Tatnam Hotel. John Kirk went on to become trainer at Dean Court. Mike Stevens I think still lives locally. Thanks Benito for your input, Poole Council have NEVER supported football in the town although when I knew Brian Leverett he was a DCFA linesman(not a very good one!!) Keep up the good work cos if they make to Wembley I'll be over!! UP THE TOWN

Thanks neutral1. Are you really neutral? I remember Stan Rickaby, John Kirk and the others. It was a time when Town were becoming one of the top non-league clubs. It was also a time of great hope for the future - just like now!

Thanks neutral1. Are you really neutral? You could be talking to the converted,to set some of your minds at rest i find most things about the club,'Professional',even down to how the bench are always in the clubs tracksuits.I also feel the club is in professional hands. You might need your glasses for this one, again thanks to the excellent programme.
