In the battle between the two 'Magpies' our boys at Alresford gladly upset the apple cart and we hope youre happy with our efforts this weekend. To be fair we feel that we deserved the win but i would be interested to note if any of your supporters were amongst the 199 many of whom applauded us off the pitch. I say this as we usually only have a travelling hardcore of 3 so somebody appreciated us!
Looks like you have the quality to take the title but Wimborne and Totton will push you all the way no doubt....not sure about VT (not enough work rate for their crazy money for my liking). Despite our lads meeting you as they found their feet in this league you are nevertheless the only side who have given us a football lesson. Best wishes.....from an Alresford Town supporter!

I must admit the Wimborne v Alresford game was the second result i looked out for in the WP and after watching you play against Poole a few weeks back i thought there was a chance you could get a point at Wimborne,to get the win was good going. IMO the game v Poole was a close affair and at times you played well above your position with some nice passing football, that said Poole were off colour that day and were missing a couple of first choice players although thats not to take anything away from Alresford.I cant understand why you're so low down in the league. I'm not sure about Totton as i haven't seen them but VTFC look good for an outside bet with their lively number ten and Bournemouth poppies look a solid side. Moneyfields also seem to have picked up a burst of confidence after beating Poole, with 15 goals in the last two games.
As a nuetral i've been surprised by the high standard of football at this level and think the best football i've seen in this league so far was the second half Poole dished out at home to New Milton,if Poole can keep that standard up then they have every chance of taking this division.
Well Done for Yesterday.
