After a day of phone calls, emails and text messages we have agreed with Swindon that the game with Swindon called off today Saturday due to a frozen pitch will now take place this coming Tuesday 23rd January ko 7.45 as usual. The two secretaries will lodge the forms with the Southern League for processing first thing Monday morning. See you all Tuesday! Chris

Hope the game is on, but in all honesty it's doubtful. Just come through one storm and another on the way. Not sure this rearrangement was thought through

We can't keep revisiting this year after year after year. Starting to feel like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day.

I can't keep up with you. I thought Trolls lived under the bridge but, like your reasoning, you're all over the place. Sunny Mexico, Constitution Hill talking to imaginary ex fans, Poole old town and now back in Cloud Cuckoo land. Does Double Dutch serve you as a common language wherever you are?

Expat as hard as I want to ignore your post’s I will give you a bit of latitude and ask you in all seriousness about your constant droning on about returning to “ your” stadium? Please list in a sensible way how it would be achieved bearing in mind things such as- Lease Cost ( lights stands toilets plus many more issues) Planning permission Council support and future plans for the site Investors ( who specifically) Time frame to complete Getting Speedway out to put a pitch in Atmosphere And many many other issues I’ve not mentioned!! I along with many others would love to know how you would approach it from scratch rather than shouting and endless drivel all the way from Canada if you come up with a sensible working plan I will pay for your flight ticket to the first home game ( one way) I await your response with interest!!!

Like you Rob, I have been around and watching PTFC since the Stadium days. Yes as it is now the Stadium obviously would not be viable. But loosely going through your concerns directed at Expat. As I understand it if we ever leave Tatnam we must leave it pretty much as we found it. So the floodlights would be taken down. They could then be reinstated at a new venue. The main stand and the shed together with the metal terracing can all be unbolted and craned onto a transporter and reinstated. The temporary hospitality suit and supporters shop the same. The clubhouse/toilets would obviously have to stay, I assume they will be re-purposed by the school/council. As I have stated previously Speedway is a sport in decline, single digit amount of teams in Poole's league and six in the Elite League. Oxford are running two teams which makes it look better. So if anyone thinks Speedway has a big future for many years, at an out of date and some would say dangerous old semi-dilapidated Stadium need to give their heads a wobble. As I see it the Stadium complex footprint is large, we would need to settle for a small part of it. Probably at the front where the car park is now backing onto the railway line. There is a purpose build social club across the road that has never been used this could be the supporters facility. Bus and Train transport is walkable. Obviously if this were feasible the Council would grant permission. If this was granted I would assume/hope local investment would materialize. Similar the Wimborne's new ground people/companies want to be involved in something they can see has potential to succeed. Make no mistake Poole at a new ground WOULD SUCCEED. What other options have we got on the table? The Chairman has vaguely said there is a site in the pipeline but as it stands its to secret to even mention (fed up with this option) The other option is staying where we are until the current lease runs out six years? We can all see the the problems with this. I think all of us on this forum Expat included want the same thing but have different ways of saying it. We all want Poole Town FC to succeed.

Benito fair play a good response that at first thoughts make great sense, but sadly I have to say most of your points have been attempted to some degree previously but met with nothing but negativity by most authorities involved, the one thing about the “ club over the road” is interesting but the new (ish)bar/catering Facilities opposite the main stand is already quite suitable I’d suggest? But frustratingly the previous and current BoD have tried many avenues and although it’s not in the current public domain are certainly not being inactive in trying to achieve something suitable, cost effective and sustainable as quick as can be achieved but it takes time and money as does your suggestion Patience and trust in the current BoD is best at this current time Good to see this forum being used for the right reasons mate
