Nearing the half way point in the season and it seems like the play offs will be the best we can hope for at this point.
WSM and Truro seem miles ahead - although it’s a marathon not a sprint, we’ve got to face facts that it will take a considerable effort and improvement to have a chance of going up this season.
Particularly defensively, we haven’t been good enough and it seems that Toby Holmes is out of favour at the moment.
Realistically we are still a few key signings away from being able to truly compete for promotion.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens now. Let’s hope we can get a win on Saturday and get some positive momentum going our way!
I’ve seen someone on Twitter mention that Cam Murray has signed from Weymouth, but could be nonsense.

The air drop of loan players will soon be overflying Tatnam. unfortunately I do believe that we will be out of the play-off picture and even if we did scrape in, our record in one off games is against us What i would like to ask the BOD is what serious efforts are being made to get our missing supporters back? Attendances are dwindling in the face of our current stagnation in the SLS. I go back to my late summer conversation with one such missing person,he knew most of our failures of the last couple of seasons, knew of the players currently employed but was not going to return to the fold until some signs of positivity could be seen at Tatnam. Yes we can question their deeper loyalty but we need those people coming through the turnstiles if we are ever going to progress

You are right on George in your comments Food for thought nearly 500 at Wimborne on a cold night(Echo) as they go third Harry Baker scores again Nearly 900 to watch a Wessex league game Totton vs Hamworthy Utd where are our missing Fans?? Over to you BOD!! Perhaps they were discouraged by our(again) lack of off season signings to indicate that we really meant business ..and then three straight home losses didn't help!! now comes the Air Drop This scenario has played out over the last few seasons. Has it worked yet??

It's quite strange, it was very quiet on here between the 24th September & 29th October when we only lost 1 game.

Expat sadly I’ve given in and need to respond to your drivel you spout on about again, Firstly Totton and Ham Utd are not Wessex Lge, secondly Wimborne reduced their prices dramatically for Tuesday and let all u16 in free and I can assure you a LOT of them (u16’s) turned up in the 463 att , I also attended the game as like many other PTFC fans due to our game being called off, and as free/ reduced prices means less gate receipts to club doesn’t necessarily prove to be financially profitable. Quite often not everything is as black and white as you seem to believe. As Journalists often say never let the truth get in the way of a good story 😉

Hopefully there will be a good turnout tomorrow v Bracknell Town. How we managed to compete season after season at the right end of the table, constantly amazes me. We are hampered by our limited bar size & also when we can open it. Most other non league clubs have much better facilities than us & are currently, if they want to, opening them for the current world cup. Our facilities aren't currently fit for that purpose & we are severely restricted on when we can open anyway. If this problem is ever fixed, with the extra income this will generate, I think we will become a club competing at the right end of the division above. If not higher!

one major factor is us not being able to have pint while watching a game as well , some people prefer that option for their afternoon out.

Has it worked yet?? Ha-ha! I was at the Totton Hammers game, and as anyone else who was there will testify, the true gate figure was more like 250-300 When it was announced over the pa, pretty much everyone rolled their eyes in disbelief. All I can think is that they’ve got a large number of season ticket holders whom they count, even if they don’t attend

I genuinely believe we have a bright future ahead. It may not seem like it sometimes when results aren’t going our way and attendances aren’t quite as high as we’d like, but the BOD are certainly putting things in motion behind the scenes.
I guess I’m just a positive person; some could call it naive.
COYD 🐬 let’s get 3 points tomorrow against Hanwell 🐬

Two very poor goals conceded in the first half but the comeback was excellent. Delighted for Toby getting a brace.
Bring on Plymouth on Wednesday eve 🐬

Rob et al
Can you please tell me if PTFC have had A modest 500 plus home attendance this season? When was the last time we had such numbers? Whuch, lets face it is not too ambitious, agreed? Whataboutery is not going to bring back the missing fans,Strong off season acquisitions and a determined mission statement from our BOD should get their attention and that of the Media.

So Wimborne did a little loss leader marketing. Any reason why we cannot do the same lets say vs Plymouth, a crucial game for us, when we could do with a couple of hundred extra cheering us on some of whom may come back as permanent atterndees(and spending a few pounds at the catering) As the Sally Ann says "Why let the devil have all the best tunes"

Anyway, yesterday’s result was a refreshing change with our lads coming back from behind and scoring in the dying seconds! Well done everyone. With Truro and WSM proving not quite so invincible yesterday who knows what might happen if we can just finish in a play-off slot? COYD

Well done the team for a great comeback good to see Toby Holmes in the team and scoring. The defence is still a great concern though.

Might be pertinent to maybe put the winning number on a chalkboard outside the “Pod” (Pippa's parlour) after ht ? Simples?
