Have just read here in the Echo that Barclays are moving their staff from Barclays House close to Poole Station meaning the building will be empty. IF no-one moves into the site and they demolish it this would leave a LOT of potential space for development (I've outlined it on the map attachment) with possibly a little bit more if they also took the old Telephone Exchange and the couple of residential places on Wimborne Rd. What a fantastic space for a community stadium to be built as part of a new central development!!

Isn’t it grade 2 listed which mean the building needs to be preserved, got more flats written all over it.

Is it just a coincidence that Barclays have announced that they are shutting up shop while BCP Council have huge redevelopment plans for the whole area. If the building were to be demolished it would open up a thoroughfare ( albeit for a handful of properties) directly into town from the Stadium complex. Or am I just an old cynic?.
