I visited the ground at lunchtime today (Monday) to inspect the pitch and I am delighted to say that it is in good order--it is firm throughout including the "problem" area. We had a procedure carried out in February/March this year before lockdown whereby fierce blasts of air were injected into the pitch to create fissures and crevices to assist drainage. We never got the chance to have that work tested of course but it looks like it may have had a good impact. At present therefore no need for a pitch inspection but in the unlikely event that we need one it will of course be announced. Tickets are going well for tomorrow-still plenty left but I would recommend they be purchased online to avoid disappointment. If the game is postponed then the tickets will be valid for the rearranged fixture but if anyone feels they need to ask for a refund rather than hold on to the ticket for the rearranged game there is a process to reclaim the cost from SEE Tickets who act as our agent in these matters.

I was also at the ground yesterday morning and was pleasantly suprised with the pitch. It needed a haircut but there was no evidence that the "problem area" had had a good soaking.
