Great times indeed, when the club had a sense of pride and connections with the higher echelons of football. What I'd give to have those times back again. Expat,we can but dream and reminisce, but at least it looks like we witnessed what is likely to be the best of what is to be. How I wish those footballing ex's from within the game, with deeper pockets than mine, living within the borough, would remember what grass roots football is all about and throw their influence behind the club.

Someone get on the phone to every Premier League Club and tell them if they want a friendly before their season resumes (whenever their season resumes) then we'll play them. Two or three friendlies (against strong XI's who will need games, not against reserve sides) should mean crowds of a couple of thousand each time and get us set for the new season.
