I am very sorry to say that I have just been told that Peter Reeves, Chris's dad has passed away. Peter was a lovely man full of enthusiasm and energy. He was very supportive to me and I had great respect and affection for him. He was also a great supporter of the club both in a practical sense and making generous financial contributions in difficult times. Our thoughts are with Chris and his family. RIP Peter.

Such sad news to hear today. Peter and Olive were two of the first people I got to know at the club and always offered me the warmest of welcomes. They came to games come rain or shine, always bought 50 50s, and were supporters club and 100 club members. Peter was the sort of man you always wanted to see at games - always with positive outlook and never a bad word to say ( at least in my hearing!) Rest in peace Peter and my thoughts are with Olive Chris David and all of his family.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and also to everyone that has texted me. Dad was a very special man- an inspiration to me and so very much loved by his family. His Requiem Mass will be held at St.Mary’s Catholic Church Wimborne Road on 20th March at 12.00. It will be a special occasion. Dad was an ordained Deacon and worked tirelessly in the parish until well into his eighties and even within the last twelve months has carried out duties to assist the parish priest. He was dearly loved by the parishioners and so totally respected by all the clergy of the diocese. The Bishop himself will be sayiing Mass and there will be a huge number of priests and deacons involved with the service. Mom and my two sisters Tess and Clare would be delighted to see some of Mom and Dad’s friends from the Club at the Mass and there will be a reception afterwards in the church hall open to everyone. Thanks again for all your kind words- they mean a lot. Chris
