There are known unknowns then there unknown unknowns ......Donald J Rumsfeld prior to the Iraq Invasion The biggest unknown of all for Dolphins Supporters is IF and WHERE we will be playing in season 2020/2021

I have never posted on the forum before but feel compelled to do so to set the record straight. It is true that I have a accepted the role of commercial manager at Eastleigh Football Club, it is not true that I have jumped a waterlogged sinking ship. The football club has a great BOD who always work hard and are some of the nicest people I have met. Between them all they have more then enough in skill sets to guide this great club to a very bright future. It was true that I was never an official director, I was invited, but due to circumstances I was placed in at another club, I was unable to accept, until the time was right for me, unfortunately that time did not come round quick enough. I was privileged to attend board meetings and therefore party in a lot of confidential information, whilst the fans must be tied of that line, you must trust the people who run and love the football club. I see on a daily basis how much time and effort they put into running the club and trying to secure that bright future we all talk about and wish for our club and I for one KNOW they WILL succeed. It has been a tough time for the club with all the postponements, but that is when everyone must pull together and dig deep, it will turn around. In the last week the commercial activity has been very busy and thats little to do with me!!! The players and management are helping and have stepped up by supplying valuable leads, Shaun Spencer- Perkins has been magnificent in attracting new sponsors, Richard Gale organised a great fund raising event at last Friday's race night. I hope you read my post and take it in the manner it is intended. I was in a dark place when I left my old club and everyone at Poole Town, including you fans, got me back enjoying my football again. I quickly took the club and its people to my heart and enjoyed every minute of being a part of it. Then you may ask why am I leaving? Simply Eastleigh is also a great club, playing at a higher level with tremendous opportunities, It took a lot of deliberation and soul searching, but the chance to join them was just too good to turn down from a personal and family point of view. As a non-league manager, I always wanted to manage at the highest level possible and I adopt the same philosophy towards my commercial manager career. Its in my nature to be the best I could possibly be and when a club like Eastleigh comes a knocking!!! I will always be a supporter of Poole Town, will always look for our results and will continue to help our club where I can, please don't shoot me if you see me at some of our future games when Eastleigh are not playing at home!!!! I would like to thank the BOD for making my time so enjoyable, thank you fans for accepting me as your commercial manger and thank all the sponsors I worked with, who have become very good friends of the club. Please have patience and trust Chris Reeves and the BOD, they will deliver, I will promise you that, just sad I will no longer be part of that journey. Wish you all well and see you at the Southern Premier League play offs!!!

Good luck Alex in your new venture, thanks for what you did for PTFC, I’m sure you will be welcomed with open arms if you find the time to visit in future. Perhaps some of the usual cohorts, mischief makers might back off a bit now someone close to the “truth” from an official position within the club has spoken? Cheers mate

Well isn't it nice to have some transparency. We actually know what is happening. We don't need to second guess or rely on small talk. Those of us outside of the social circle are sometimes fed mixed messages.Keep it up, keep the supporters informed, and good luck Mr Pike in your new job.

All the best Alex IMO you have always done your best for PTFC in helping to attract players and fundraising, I have spoke to you when you have been going around with buckets to help various charities. I also remember you from a previous club where you worked your socks off and got them to the FA Trophy final only for some fans to turn against you, yes you are ambitious and I feel you will help Eastleigh reach their goal, I for one feel it is our loss but you can't keep a good man down good luck in the future.
