All i can say is we missed aaron skelton a great deal. had knowone really screening up the defence 2 stop their front to having the ball to their feet. only real negative thing about the performance as we were controlling the game for most of the game. if karim scored the open goal and their player should of walked then 2-1 down and only 10men they would of been at our peril

Hi Chaps, I think both of the above comments have a degree of merit. We all know the anchor role in the middle of the park to be pivotal, and we did miss Skelts last night. Not only from the screening aspect (totally agree), but the reading of the game i.e. being the gaffers on-pitch brain, prompting us to think & tick over. Last night Lymington were bang up for it. We were the form team visiting, they played the game at a high tempo, worked tremendously hard in closing us down all ‘round the pitch and scrapped for everything. It may have been that we needed to “take the sting” out of the game, and slow it down a little. Use 4 or 5 15-yard type passes, keep the ball, gradually getting on top, better players begin to tell…bingo (easiest game in the world from the stand innit?) Fareham, different game, we played at a high tempo (mainly because we were chasing the game for long periods) and for that particular game it worked in our favour - no two games are the same. However, our young lads are doing the club proud. They are now reaching positions of a more mature side. I guess however disappointing, the odd setback back is inevitable. Roll on Saturday!
P.S. Gareth must be suicidal given last night, and last Sundays Manc result !
