Weston are one of the clubs that now only produce an e-programme. There will be no printed programmes at the stadium on Saturday. We will post a link on this thread once the e-programme is available.

Cheers John. If WSM can't be bothered to print a programme for me to buy, I can't be bothered to drink in their bar before the match. Will also probably eat in the pub I end up in. So in not providing a printed programme they have probably lost between £10 & £20 extra income from me. The only money they will get from me now is the £11 entry fee. If others feel the same it could be quite costly in the long run. All successful businesses have loss leaders that lead to people spending a lot more than they lose on that one item.

Ps. If once the link is available if someone could print off a copy for me & would gladly pay them £2 for it or donate that money to Poole Town, which ever they prefer. As I can't print one off myself. I am sure there maybe others who would like a copy to and are in a similar situation to me as well. So maybe print a few more off to & make a little more money.

I personally have no problem with e-programmes and good for them if it works. Not sure a programme is a huge money spinner but most certainly it saves a lot of paper and effort... Perhaps a small print run would be sensible on matchday, but again its whatever works.....

No programme ?
Well I bought the “Seagulls” official match day programme (price £3) at the turnstile and they threw in a printed team sheet with it too.

They told us today did not print but apparently the do print a few on site. As for the money, most clubs make a poss on printed programmes. I’mn my opinion the way Weston do it is the way to go.
They charge for the downloaded version and for the printed version on the day and it makes financial sense.

Unbelievable !
I broke a golden rule here in that I never normally post other than on the prediction league and this illustrates exactly why.
John, you categorically and incorrectly stated that WSM FC would not be producing a conventional match day programme . This in turn led to others criticising WSM FC for this course of action.
Having attended the game and purchased a (very good, quality production) programme at the turnstile I merely thought it only fair to point this out. That can not be contentious surely. Wrong !
You (John A) deemed it necessary to reply, not to acknowledge your error but to justify it and then seemingly to have “the last word” add a condescending comment “and of course their logo is of a Herring Gull not a Seagull”. I am not sure whether this was intended to belittle me (I suspect so), WSM FC, or both.
When I referred to the “Seagulls” official match day programme it was because “SEAGULLS” was in large print across top of said programme.
That is not to say that your sarcastic comment was actually correct (potentially a whole new debate which I do not intend to enter) but it was certainly not relevant or necessary. However, if anyone connected with WSM FC happens upon this I am sure they will be delighted to put you right.
Suffice to say Mr Press Officer, you have offended a loyal normally reticent supporter and quite likely a fellow Southern League club.
You certainly owe me and probably WSM FC, an unreserved and unconditional apology.
Cliff Goddard (also known on this forum as Sgt Wilson).

Not necessarily John, the 'Gull' logo could be a lesser black backed, great black backed or even a common Gull even - all have white heads and short beak...

I really don't take that much of an interest in what they look like. To me when they are trying to nick my chips, they all look the same to me. Hope no one accuses me of being gullist!
