So what is going on then? 22nd June the Club announce Mr Herrington had left the Club only to announce on the 9th July he had returned and been appointed the new U18's manager. And now reading this he is the Shaftesbury FC first team coach 🤔 Is this a dual role or has he left the Club again?

Yes it would be nice to know who is doing what (or not) within the Club, the Official PTFC website is not at all clear.
The season is nearly upon us with no clarity related to the 1st Team, Reserves, U 18's or indeed Sponsors etc
Compare our Website with others in the same league regarding information!

all will be forgiven if we a) manage to win our opening matches b) we find someone who can score goals while doing a) seriously we must continue to invest in our Reserves and promote local talent

Who cares if Herrington has gone, which he obviously has. What bothers me is his previous association with our club and the fact he thinks he can illegally approach our reserve players outside of certain timescales, as per FA's rules. BOD care to comment ? Be a shame if he has left as I understand he has developed some very good youngsters here at Poole Town bringing them through the age groups and been very successful along the way. Seems he shared a different opinion to Mr Killick as regards to their next progression. Although approaching our development players would indeed be a little unsporting, who can blame him since he has spent years coaching and nurturing them. If he can offer them first team football then good luck to them I say!

It is incredibly dissapointing that there is a lack of transparency here. What is happening at the club. People need to know if they are to buy in to the ethos. We feed of rumours and other club announcements. Hope it all works out for the greater good.

Still no comment from the BOD regarding our ex reserves manager, now manager of Shaftesbury FC and 'pinching' our reserve player's (Ben Rolleston & Jack Williamson - so far) for his own team. I also understand that he is still our U18's manager (conflict of interest Mr Reeeves) - sort this circus out !! Is it that big a deal? Players at that level are always floating around a number of clubs,so as you say hes taken 2 players, thats hardly going to fold the reserves is it. Managers always bring in their own players thats football, the step between the reserves and first team is massive very few u18s at Poole will be good enough to play in Pooles first team, they will always bring in on loan Bournemouth u18s as we see every year, again the gulf between poole u18s and bmouth u18s is massive. If a couple of reservers get the chance to play wessex football instead of wyvern then wish them luck, the wyvern league is pretty poor to be fair with teams not always fulfilling fixtures plus how many local lads are really going to travel all the way to Shaftsbury? And why not wish danny luck on his football journey,he is basically a local youth league coach who has worked hard taken his badges and got lucky and someone thinks he deserves a chance. This is local football not the premiership
