Hi all, I was at the match yesterday in a photographic capacity. Whilst I'd claim not to be a supporter of either side, I've seen a lot of the Met this season so I suppose my loyalties probably do lie there. Despite that, I think I've produced a pretty fair report of proceedings (though happy to be told otherwise!) and thought I'd share it with you. thegrassrootstourist.com/2019/05/07/evo-stik-premier-south-play-off-final/Congratulations on a great end to the campaign, and good luck next season. Regards, GRTourist

Just for the reoord GR " A 7-0 victory at Salisbury was the icing on the cake, and they rode that wave to see off Taunton at the Viridor" should read " A 7-0 victory at Staines was the icing on the cake, and they rode that wave to see off Taunton at the Viridor"

Yes, my mistake. Thanks. I think that as the last time I watched you was against Harrow I've got my 7-0 thrashings mixed up, as they did beat Salisbury 7-0 on the last day!

We didn't have many chances. But had one of them gone in, we would have been into extra time and penalties etc. If two of them had been scored then Tonbridge Angels would be making a longer trip to Dorset next Saturday. Then whether than their goal was one would have been irrelevant. Unless the final score aet was MP2 PT1!

Regards, GRTourist Reasonably fair report. I my opinion we were in command for longer than you said but I won’t argue. This was a typical Poole game where we probably had more good chances but failed to convert them. The fact is that both teams just about cancelled each other out. Clearly the Fuzz has learned their lesson from when we played them a few weeks ago and adopted the tactics we normally associated with the likes of Taunton. I am the first to admit when we are well beaten but in this case it is hard to be magnanimous. I would rather have lost on penalties than an officiating my error. However thank you for coming on and we hope to see you again sometime soon. Good luck to Met Police on Saturday but I won’t be looking for the result. I suspect they will be back in the Isthmian if they don’t winso we may only see them in Cups.

There was some issue about the added time not being announced but that was not the error I was talking about.

Time added on wasnt what I was on about either. Mine was a little facetious regarding goal line technology, hence me saying that i take it your watch didn't go off

Final Score in today's Super Play Off Final is... Metropolitan Police 2 Tonbridge Angels 3.
So we will be returning to Imber Court next season. Sadly, I think, this means Hendon move back to the Isthmian League after just one season. Sad because unlike the boys in blue they actually have fans, who might spend money at Tatnam.
