As many of you are aware we ran RPT last season with the assistance of the two Ben's and Dom. The service cost a lot to run, and it was kindly Sponsored by Hannah Devlin and Nick Spetch. It was not cheap to run and both Hannah and Nick put in an amount that far exceeded my annual bar bill at the Black Gold.
In the experiments we carried out at the start of the season, we managed to get a service up and running slightly cheaper and in general, (when I remembered to adjust the levels), the quality of the audio, if not the commenter, was more than acceptable.
Although the costs are lower, there are still both running costs and capital costs (equipment) to running Radio Poole Town Radio and there is no income to the club currently.
As with Twitter and the MLT. someone (unpaid) has to be at the match and we just don't have enough volunteers at the moment.
To put it bluntly, we need both volunteers and money. We are searching for commentators and trying to think of ways to finance the project. Just to be clear, we are looking to purchase high quality microphones and a mixer.
Any suggestions?

I made a donation to Radio Poole Town last season, nothing substantial, but it all helps.

I'll make a donation if a 'pot' is started.

John the application that has been used for last 2 seasons was Spreaker. It can be used with any IPAD/Laptop or phone with respective microphones. It is only $19/month around £15. If Alex could get a sponsor and commentators can be found, it is very easy to set up and run.
