Peter Crouch.
Michael Owen.
Hopefully there is a sell on clause in the contract. Because he's better than either of those two.

:oThe Swindon forums are touting him for the reserves, could be possibly that he won't be able to play for the 1st team until January as he's a contracted player and the transfer window doesn't open until then. I could be wrong....................................

Maybe we could have him back on loan until January as part of the deal which is now something like £90,000.00, a sell-on clause and a friendly ..............unless someone knows different!

Charlie is certainly worth more than what I hear that "Reading Reserves" are offering.

That's a strange perspective on us, why do you say that? We dont a have single ex reading player in our squad.

Hi Suttonred, sterte is our version of "half way Harry" he has a humorous tourettes type 'take' on the world and quips without meaning anything nasty. It can catch you out sometimes depending on the mood but once you are aware of this you realise he is an ideal addition to any drinking party for a good 'group piss take'. No one is safe ;D
How's that arm coming along sterte?

I unfortunately had to spend three and a half years on the M4 Corridor and was aware of a lot of banter between Reading and Swindon, especially the 2TenFM christmas mickey taking of all things Swindon. That's why the banter. Also, why do Swindon sing "Westcountry"?

It's true it was sung a lot, but not so much now. There has been a lot of debate on the forums recently, with most agreeing we aren't west country. although it's hard to find lyrics for a song with "the middle of nowhere" in it. So i suppose it will get rolled out now and again.

In the middle of nowhere Will it soon pass me by? In the middle of nowhere ........ ........etc Hey, where does out love lie? Come on now Where does our love lie? Right slap in the middle of nowhere Right slap in the middle of nowhere Right slap in the middle of nowhere

The numbers seem to be getting larger by the moment ;D However, Brian that seems more like it. I certainly feel Charlie will not stop at Swindon............can he speak Italian?
