Have received the following from Adam Tong's Dad Dave:-
"Hi Steve
Adam will be taking part in the New Forest Purple Challenge Walk 2009 on 26.09.2009 to raise money for the Neurological Unit at Southampton Hospital and we'd really appreciate the support of Poole Town Football Club.
Almost a year ago Adam was admitted to the Neurological Unit after sustaining a serious head injury whilst playing rugby. Lynn and I are very grateful for the wonderful care that Adam received by all the staff in the High Dependency Unit and the kindness and support that was extended to us all. I am very please to say that following rehabilitation Adam has made a full recovery and friends and family now plan to participate in a 14/25 mile Challenge Walk in order to raise funds for the Neurological Unit. In some small way we would like to support the hospital charity to enhance services for patients and families.
I have attached a link to our Just Giving page: www.justgiving.com/LynnTong which is an easy way to donate online with a credit or debit card. JustGiving sends donations straight to Southampton Hospital Charity and specifically the Neurological Unit. It also automatically reclaims Gift Aid if you're a UK taxpayer, so any donation is worth even more.
Please could you add the relevant details to the Poole Town Website as I am sure many of Adam’s friends may wish to make a donation.
Please contact me direct if you require any further information.
Good luck for the season!
Regards
Dave"
