Having arrive back from the USA last night i was pleased to hear that four 16 year olds were travelling with the first team for the fixture against Horndean.
Carl Chivers, Chris Snell, Dave Sturgess, Jonny Byrom.
Not many clubs can boast this many youngsters in the first team. It goes to show what the reserves are about, bringing young quality players to the club and preparing them for the big picture. Not to win the DSL.
It would be nice to win the DSL, but thats not an issue and as long as our supporters remember that, which i know most do, then we will continue to develope 15 to 16 year olds in the reserves and prepare them for the first team.
Im already ón the look out for next years players, because with the developement of players this season i feel i will loose many to the first team, next term.
