Here you go, 1. Right click on picture, this brings up a box with 'Properties' at the bottom. 2. Left click on 'Properties', this brings up another box with 'Address (URL)' within that box. this should read in this pictures case www.poole-town.fsnet.co.uk/PTFC.jpg3. Place your cursor on the 'h' at the start of the address and highlight. 4. right click on highlighted address, this brings up another box with 'Copy' within. 5. Left click on 'Copy' - Your cursor is now loaded with the address. 6. Click on 'X' in the top right corner of that box to get rid of box. You can do this with any picture and either post a picture elsewhere or put it in your Avatar. -------------------------------------------- Posting a picture 1. first use [ img ] but without the spaces. I've had to space the brackets away from img otherwise it won't show. 2. Now un load the address URL from your mouse next to it so it looks like [ img ]http://www.poole-town.fsnet.co.uk/PTFC.jpg 3. Now close off that URL with [ /img ] again without the spaces You should get [ img ] www.poole-town.fsnet.co.uk/PTFC.jpg [ /img ] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To post an avatar. 1. Go into your profile. 2. Just above your name in your profile you should see 'Modify Profile' - left click on this to take you into your profile. 3. page down to ' Avatar URL' - right click in the box , then left click on ' paste' and unload picture address URL into this box. 4. Now go to box below, 'Avatar Width' and put in '100' , this is the max pixels allowed. 5. Go to next box 'Avatar Height' and put in '100' again 6. Now page down to 'Modify Profile' button and click on it. Your avatar should now be showing. Hope this helps.

hey M3, did you explain to Marlane what Avatars are ? I tried but gave up, i think she should go and do a pc course at the college to bring her up to speed, but it would still only be a snail's pace

She can do the courses on line, or is that a step too far?

probley a step too far, she would need a some one stood at her shoulder helping, she's special where computer's are concerned. i don't get how any one who can cook the way she does, and in that I mean without instructions, wonders around the supermarket and gets enough of every thing to feed 40 odd people at football, without writing any thing down, she just knows how much she needs, but can only just about send an e-mail. completely baffles me.
