I only managed to make the second half - but what a half! Parky said after about 60 minutes - this is going to be 0-0 - and that was the turning point! Against the run of play Brading scored, having missed an easier chance a few minutes earlier.
This woke Poole up. With the fans behind them they came to life. The equaliser was bizarre. Charlie's header was caught by the keeper, I turned away then heard the cheers go up - presume the keeper dropped in to his goal. This gave the momentum to Poole. Charlie hit an excellent equaliser about 2 minutes later. Almost 1 minute later new signing Carl Preston headed a third. The crowd was really behind the team now. Charlie got a fourth from a well delivered cross.
All credit to Tommy for the changes at half time. With Billy and Carl Preston down the left it was a very attacking formation, although left us a bit exposed defensively I felt.
Carl Preston looked quality - really giving the Brading defence trouble.
Great to see Charlie back. I did hear him say at the end - I could have scored 20! - so why didn't you Charlie? (only joking).
Full marks to the team for showing the fight to get back in to the game and full marks to the crowd for getting behind them to give them the lift.
Fantastic second half entertainment.

Took in my first PTFC home game.. after the Wimborne game was called off..
First half we played some neat football, lacked the cutting edge.
Second half after 60 mintues the game came alive after their goal against the run of play.
2nd goal by Charlie was a great finish, as was the 3rd from Preston, he was class as you'd expect from an AFCB player.
Great support, the chants were loud and clear and will hopefully continue to spur the players on.
COYD!

I thought The Dolphins were getting back towards early season form. High temp - slick passing - using the width of the pitch and a mobile unit that didn't appear to get pulled out of shape (except when Brading scored!). The quality of Carl Preston's goal would have graced any football league ground - build up to finish was pure quality. Brading looked very well organised until Poole's 5 minute spell with 3 goals. Another mention must go to Carl Poore - yet again my man of the match. His energy is outstanding and he gives Gilly options. That right side combination looks far to strong for this this league......and the next. Well done the team for not letting their heads drop when 1 - 0 down. COYD

I have to pinch myself at times to remind myself that I'm in the real football world - 26 Games played with 25 wins and 1 draw. An incredible feat and did you notice the Brading celebrations when they went ahead .... that's how much it means to a team now to beat us, or, at least draw with us. Every team has a very special agenda to take points of us now.
Some good points made already so there's not a lot to add other than I'm a big fan of Stuart Brown and although he doesn't score a lot of goals his physical presence and work rate is top draw, as we saw when he got on the pitch. I thought their keeper played a blinder and pulled of a tremendous save to keep things level before they scored, he was also good for a bit of banter. He also made a great save just before the first Poole goal, only to be bundled over the line by three of his own defenders. ;D
The ref was a vast improvement over Saturdays and it was also good to hear the crowd get behind the team with a few chants, little beginings - fantastic. Let's keep it going. Well done all!

Can't add much more to what's already been said. Carl Preston looks to be a class act. Taffy was rejuvenated after the substitutions, Browner is physically bigger and stronger than Smithy, and just seems to have a great understanding with Charlie, as his unselfish pass for one of Charlie's goals showed. Their keeper is very good, wasted on them. Otherwise, more of the same please. COYD.

What an 'electric' 2nd half. I was behind 'el flago', fully enjoying the chanting and banter with the Brading keeper.
I must say that all credit must go to Stuart Brown in his part in the 4th goal. He was in a one-on-one postion with the keeper (athough acute angle) where many a player would have had a blast at goal. But no, Stu unselfishly held the ball up, waiting for Charlie to position himself in the center of the box. A short but accurate pass enabled Charlie to tap in an 'almost ' open goal.
'Roll-on' next Tuesday at Wimborne.

Excellent and informative comments for those of us who weren't able to be there. Thanks everyone. Apart from VT, are there any other likely challengers/dark horses? Several teams haven't lost many like Moneyfields, Brock and Wimborne. And Christchurch have only lost 5 and won 6-0 yesterday but they may prefer to concentate on the Vase I guess.

Just thought I would add something slightly more controversial! I thought the first half was dire and Poole played as though they just needed to turn up to win (Gilly and one or two others excepted). If I was TK I would have been furious with them. It was like watching a different team in the second half (and to some extent it was a different team). As has already been said about Stuart he gives us that physical presence that cuts straight through defences. He also made the difference at Romsey. I think he is now playing his best ever football for Poole. I am a big big fan of Steve Smith but he does need to start thinking that as a striker he needs to lead the attack and make things happen for the team when others aren't doing it. We need to see more creativity from Micky. James BP in defence??? Very promising performance from new boy Carl. I know this is a bit critical for a team that is unbeaten in 26 games but Brading were poor and sometimes I worry that we get a bit soft playing numpty teams most of the time and winning easily. Bitton was a lesson not to be forgotton. Still, much bigger game on Friday! COYD

Good post robinho. The good thing with TK he's not afraid to change things around on the halfway mark to shake things up.

Hmmm - think I disagree to a certain extent with Robinho's comments above. I didn't think the first half was that 'dire'. Sure, it wasn't the goal fest that perhaps we expected but I would give credit to Brading for that. I think they defended in depth (11 behind the ball at times) and looked to hit us on the counter. They were pretty well organised as well. And Dave Greening is quality and a good outlet for any side. Under those circumstances it can be very difficult to break down any team and I didn't think we were that bad in the first half. Frustrating at times yes but what I felt good about was that Poole were, simply put, patient. And in some games, particularly at home against teams defending, you just have to be patient, keep probing and above all, keep believing. The Brading goal was a bit of a shock (although perhaps had been coming for about 5 mins) but the response was superb and I always felt the chances would come. Also agree with comments re Stu Brown. Was surprised he didn't start but full marks to Tom and Steve - they seem to handle the man management so well. When he came on Poole needed him to be a 'big' player and you could almost sense an aura about him as he trotted on (or is that just me!!! ). It was exactly the injection we needed at exactly the right time. Perfect. And I too feel he is playing as well as he has ever done for Poole. (Although as a one-off performance I will never forget his four goals against Stockbridge nearly 4 years ago - the other ten Poole players could have stayed in the dressing room at half time in that game and we would have won!!!). COYD! Cheers, Steve

It seems we had a crowd of 243 last night. Not bad for a midweek, higher than our usual average, 4th highest gate for us at home this season. I found it at: www.tonykempster.co.uk/wesspatt.htm

Parky was told to announce the attendance as 201 - so not sure where 243 came from?

Sterte is abusing/winding up the goalie in one (he turned out to be a decent fella in the end, not just beacuse he played for Oxford!) and Brian is present in another, at least the MatchLive thread is captured in action, as Brian is on the other end of the telephone.
