Hi just to let you all know i have looked at the ......it's very wet out there, i have forked the bottom goal mouth and the water has gone apart from that we are good to go
Although i will point out that light rain is due in this afternoon, i cant see this causing us a problem but i will be keeping an eye on things and if need be will carry out further checks

Great, see you there. The players did make it back on the 5.45 as planned. As for the singing..........we need to agree one thing: What cames after - Come on you............? We all sang something different - Dolphins, Reds, Poole Town. I suggest that we sing Come on you Reds at corners and set plays and then follow that with a corus or two of You Reds, You Reds. OK so just to recap it's 'Come on you Reds' at corners and if they need lifting ' Come on Poole Town'.

Agreed - A couple of rounds of come on you reds, followed by You Reds for set plays and corners. Come on Poole Town to lift them. We can make the rest up as we go........a kind of hybrid Cold Blown Manor if you know what i mean .......... just without the bad language.

Sounds okay to me m3. Except when we're playing in blue of course (I think the away strip is pretty awful actually and ought to be changed to, say, yellow and white halves or some other bright colour).
As you're the only ever-present I think you're entitled to take the lead on this but is there NO occasion when we can chant 'Come on you Dolphins'?

;D We tried it the other day Brian and it kind of fell flat. There was this bellow of 'Come on you' and then it fell flat when it got to 'Dolphins' . Maybe it's because the word has two syllables. May I perhaps suggest 'Come on you Poooole' when we're in blue ? Just an idea, I'm willing to go with anything that sounds ok and wether I go all the time or not I am just another supporter joining in .

Think we start with Come On You Reds, and get adventurous from there :-) Will be doing a don't rain dance for later :-) My Boss is running the line at Fareham v VT tonight. I have told him that he has a responsibilty for my morale and well being!! :-)

Few other songs you may want to sing, good for the players to hear too:
"We love you Poole Town, we do We love you Poole Town, we do We love you Poole Town, we do Oh Poole Town we love you"
"Poole Town till I die.. I'm Poole Town till I die, I know I am I'm sure I am I'm Poole Town till I die"
"We are Poole We are Poole.. We are Poole!"
"Tommy Killick's Red n White Army"
Merely suggestions! Come on you reds will be loud and clear tonight I'm certain!

If all's going well we could chant "You're worse than Luton Town/AFCB" :-) The bar staff could chant "We love you Charlie, we do, etc.." ;D

I hope you have some influence on your boss sterte!
Fair enough m3 (and sterte) keep it simple at least to start with? But you do seem to have unleashed a whole lot of suggestions for possible songs and chants m3 - some of them very good too!

Brian, listening to the lads on the ferry back from Newport might have given off some ideas - maybe time to get a new flag in the flavour of " POOLE TOWN'S BARMY ARMY " with a large cartoon dolphin standing up winking and holding a pint, the main slogan over the top and the motto underneath. Some car stickers wouldn't go amiss either. Just some ideas.

Rob, why fix something that is not broke: We are the Left Side, We are the Left Side, we are the Left Side London Road! Still sung today, even though there is no London Road any more.
