My daughter plays for the above team in the Dorset Girls League. When they have a full team, they are quite a good outfit, but have recently been struggling for numbers and are in danger of folding.
Are there any 15/16 year old girls (year 11 at school) out there that fancy playing for Poole?
Training is Wed evening and games are 11am Saturday. Home venue is Ashdown.
Any interest post here urgently as they may be gone by next week.

This team is still seeking players. Someone out there must have a daughter/grandaughter/neice etc?
The last game they played with only 10 players against a full 11 plus subs and still won 3-1.
They have postponed this weekends fixture and must find additional players.

There are teams for the younger age categories. However, I do believe they could play if younger. The disadvantage is usually size, weight and strength.

Once again this team had to start with 10 players up at Broadstone on Saturday. They went down to 9 due to injury in the secondhalf and then 8 late on. Unfortunately they lost, but the score of 5-4 was no embarassment. Imagine what they could have done with a full team.
Someone out there must know of a girl or two who could join this team before it is forced to fold due to lack of interest?

Sorry to keep peddling the same message, but so far no responses. I am convinced that someone out there on the forum, that cares about Poole Town, has a daughter, grandaughter, niece or nextdoor neighbour who could play. Last Saturday the girls had a team bonding event and the spirit is great. I think they will win their game tomorrow, but going forward do not have a future if they have to return to fielding 8-10 girls and getting beat by one to two goals each week. My daughter loves to play for POOLE TOWN and if the team folds, she does not want to play for any other team. I hope this link works: Someone out there, please keep this Poole Town team alive.

Thanks fellas. The team (10 players) turned up bouyant today ready for their home game against Poole Town Youth (the Unofficial Poole Town side), but unfortunately, the pitch at the Ashdown was waterlogged after this weeks snow had melted. They had a 5-a-side knock around and will try again next Saturday.

If there was a prize for guess the location the photo was taken, my guess would be Halfords car park.... Also are you Broadstone Dolphin?
