That was my reaction when I checked the score ;D Could someone fill me in with the detail on last night, I know we are the best team but to beat the second best so easily on their own ground.........bizarre Not that I'm not very pleased you understand. Just a great big WELL DONE to Tommy and the boys.....fantastic!

Slepe this is from memory, sorry I haven't done a report I kind of get into things from pitchside ;D
The night was coldish with a firm pitch and there was a very good gethering of Poole fans in the 285 crowd, we had heard that VT were without some influential players and that Poole were at full strength so were quietly confident even though the players they brought in put in the extra effort to try and raise their game to inflict our first defeat on us.
Poole came out of the traps well with a few attacks and Skelts was sweeping around calmy in midfield, in around the tenth minute he went on a run on the left that belied his age and as space opened up he struck a low ball across the area that went by a couple of players to Smithy who was lurking at the far post, he drove low into the corner.
VT had a few breaks and on one such break their player cracked a low shot to Harvell's right, Jason pulled off an instinctive save, full stretch and pushed the ball away. VT found an equaliser on 20 minutes and tried to apply more pressure. On 32 mins a BP cross found the head of Charlie, who glanced the ball just inside the near post. Again Poole pushed up looking to add to the score and just before half-time the 'harrying Gilly' picked up the ball on the right just outside the area and drove a fierce shot into the area, it deflected off a defender and spun up and looped over the despairing dive of the keepers outstretched hand and just inside the near post. H/T 1-3
Within 15 minutes of the second half Sturgess added a fourth when from outside the area he struck a sweet shot into the top left corner. It was good to see 'speed merchant' Hogan enter the field of play, also accompanied by Hubbard. So much quality in depth, even on the bench. I missed the fifth goal scored by Hogan as I was folding my flag up but from what the others were saying it was a bit special.
With a few minutes on the clock to play we all made our way to the pitch - changing room area and collectively cheer the team and management off the pitch.... a good end to a good night's work. F/T 1-5

;D I don't believe it....PTFC had their biggest win in years...nothing on the Echo website except VERY snarly AFCB fans on the verge of civil war.........however lets approach it a different way...if Obama can attribute much of his success to the internet and itech then lets continue down that road, our match updates must be unique at the level we are currently playing at....our website and supporters room are grade one and we are currently unbeaten in the league after nearly five months Lets keep up the pressure on the pressand the politicians to pay PTFC the respect it deserves. UP THE TOWN

Hear,hear Expat.
Poole Town is a "sleeping giant" in the realms of non-league football. We hope soon to return to the top of the pile, again, where the club should be. No doubt the recent revival is gathering further momentum and we are about to enter a very exciting era. Merry Christmas to all our distant Dolphins.

UP THE TOWN expat - everyone here is trying their best, and the fact we have our overseas branch, gives us even more of an incentive. Some of us are working on getting matches/pictures on to the net. Having spoken to some local councillors, they're behind us, there is definite goodwill towards us in the Poole area, it's up to the club as a whole how far we can go. ;D

Well I think the whole club is behind a move up the league, how far we go depends on the results and the ground standards
