It's the People's Republic Of Janners. And it has a Championship football team, for now. Oh yeah, and the average age is well under sixty, unlike the (VERY TACKY) Riviera :-)

Grew up there, but it is a depressing, run down, pooh hole now. Poole is a lot more laid back, positive and going places ;D

lol I know what you mean, did you ever go to Captains Jaspers? Is it still there and do they still hand out badges if you can eat their foot long hot dog?

Captain Jasper's has moved along the Quay now. They still do the foot long, but they don't do mugs of tea now, as they found 100s when they dredged the Barbican!! Never ate there sober though :-)

Post by cookiemonster on Dec 15, 2008 11:28:15 GMT
I never ate any pasty's when I was in Plymouth, I was usual drunk so went to Captain Jaspers on the way home, and I don't think I can be bother to go there now and try them, not when I have found a brilliant pasty shop near where I work.
