Robert Goddard does some really good twists. Not strictly crime, but, normally very good reads. Well researched.

I once met a man near Grantham who told me that he wrote stories for Mills and Boon. He tried to sell me some training shoes.

ok as I am back i will answer, No sterte I have never read Mills and Boon are they good? I like horror, none of the sloopy stuff you lot seem to have recommended, but I am willing to try some of the books recommended, just as soon as I can get either to a library or to Waterstone's.

Ok I got about 4 new books for Christmas, when I find time to read them I will let you all know what I throught. I also borrowed 2 books which I have read by my fave author (Laurell k Hamilton) and they where brillant. One of which concludes a series, and it did not end the way I thought it would.

I like music (auto)biographies. Read Brian Wilson's "wouldn't it be nice" , Steve Turner's " The man called Cash" & Jimmy Mcdonough's "Shakey - Neil Young's Biography. All the books are scary & moving, about 3 of music's icons.

Micky Quinn's autobiography is a must read, very down to earth, honest, and very, very funny.

Steve Claridge's is also a good read, and,if my memory serves me right, The Town gets a mention because he played (His debut?) for Weymouth at Poole Stadium.
