I'm into Floyd, just bought another one of their albums for the umpteenth time. My son blasted the car speakers with it last week. I'll have another listen on the way to Bitton tomorrow. Pink Floyd - One of These Days uk.youtube.com/watch?v=DQvG2SMVl84

I'm a late 70's early 80's child myself stfc. I think this should rekindle a few memories.

stfc - you might be interested in this, then. uk.youtube.com/watch?v=3Z7w5qm04q0Had the Brading home game gone ahead I would have missed it because I was in Brussels that weekend, partly so I could attend this gig. Section 25 were contemporaries of Joy Division, and were joined on stage by Peter Hook for one song (Temptation) at a Factory Records celebration, also in Brussels, last December. Out of that appears to have grown the idea of the bigger joint show they've just done. If you search on You Tube for "Section 25 Hook", there's several more clips of them performing other Joy Division and early New Order tracks on this mini-tour, including Ceremony, Temptation, She's Lost Control, Shadowplay and No Love Lost.

All this talk of quality 70/80s music has made me think even more about a tune to run out to. How about Wimborne running out to Gordon Is A Moron? :-)

Okay, when "they" come to Tatnam, what about the tune to Fifi And The Flower Tots, a good non-offensive tune.

I thought 'classic music' meant Beethoven, Tchaikovsky and blokes like that.

Billed as a future great singer songwriter was the late Jim Croce who died in a plane crash in 1973. His lyrics were very much like poetry. This song was written for his son and made number 1 three months after his death. Jim Croce - Time In A Bottle 1972 uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ILf-54Smv9M
