It’s a Poole Town double for the Pitchside awards for October 2008.
The Manager of the Month, for the second month in a row, which has never happened before since Pitchside went live in the summer of 2003, has gone to the Dolphins boss Tommy Killick.
Killick guided his troops to an impeccable five league wins from five plus a Dorset Senior Cup victory over Swanage Town & Herston.
Not only that but in those six matches the Dolphins clocked up 22 goals without one single reply.
And as a result of that final fact it’s no coincidence that the meanest defence in the league owe some debt to their impressive goalkeeper Jason Harvell.
Harvell played in all six of these games, although he was taken off with an ankle injury during the final game at Swanage (Simon Browne took over in goal).
So as a reward for a faultless October between the sticks the Pitchside Player of the Month award for October 2008 goes to Jason Harvell

Footnote for those who didn't make the Swanage game, Browner started the match in goal (didn't take over as stated above) - well done to all.

Definitely deserved - a faultless month (even though the rain last Saturday helped preserve the clean sheets statistic) - long may it continue!

Footnote to my Footnote...... I meant to include the fact that the article posted above, also mentions Charlies goalscoring exploits for the period in question. These lads are really doing the club proud at the minute, and I'm sure most would agree plaudits such as these are a real team effort. Long way to go lads, keep giving 100 + %.

Well Done to the management and players. Just to mention other players who work hard - Lukey, who is always ever present and gives his all - Micky Hubbard, who helped the defence no end in the first half at VT and who along with Micheal White toils away quietly. I also think Stuart Brown's hard work needs a mention his work rate unsettles defences and helps create opening for others, but you can see the frustration sometimes when he himself can't get on the score sheet. Nearly forgot Taff and some of his great passes up to the forwards.
Keep it going Lads.

A great award for the whole team. Don't think TK or Taff will let them rest on their laurels !!

I’d like to add that often unsung hero “Cussy” to the above mentions. We are indeed very fortunate to have such a management / coaching team.
Still, as the saying goes "We've Won Nowt Yet" so let's get on with it, and make sure we do - still nice tho' innit !!

I would like to add a mention for "Skelts" who has played a few games recently and added real quality. He reads the game superbly and we always look a more assured team with him playing.

Well deserved, the TEAM have played really well and as such I don't want to single anyone one out for special mention.
We shouldn't forget the "backroom staff" they make all this possible.
