Indeed it certainly would be good for PTFC if they advertised, I know the idea of the club being promoted on radio has been mentioned with no sucess but how about contacting Poole council and putting together a deal to be promoted on www.pooletourism.com ? I know there is a little contraversy at the moment as Poole are in talks with the council about the Branksome rec development etc but surely they woudnt mind having a banner for Poole town FC or at least a link to our site or something?

;DGood idea Saleen, I'll see what I can do in the week in making initial contact
As long as the powers that be at the club see this and think it might be another avenue to explore
Chris any thoughts?

;DAmazing sterte, you've got more chance of getting on 5Live 606 than getting a response out of our local radio stations who purport to serving the community

;D Have sent the nice folks at Poole Tourism this mail. Hope you all find it acceptable Hi folks, I am contacting you as a Poole Town FC supporter with regard to promoting the said club on your wonderful site We were wondering wether it would be possible for a banner to be installed such as Wimborne Town have on the Echo website eg www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/football/The team are doing really well at the moment being top of the Jewson Wessex Premier League and unbeaten We also have exciting times ahead with the hunt for the new ground, with Branksome Rec being the preferred location Did you know that Poole is one of the biggest towns in the UK without a full time professional football team. We are hoping to change that in the coming years and turn the club into something to be proud of in the Dorset area once again Anything you can do to help us promote the club in the Dorset area will be very welcome. I have the full permission of the management to contact you in this way Please come and take a look at our website www.poole-town.fsnet.co.uk/Please do not hesitate to get in touch regards Link to the tourism site below www.pooletourism.com/

Excellent work, people can't say all at the club aren't trying. It's going to be interesting to see if they help the cause of local football.

Will do my best with the leaflets this week. Cookiemonster is putting posters out too. Can do posters/A3 size things for those that want them.

The silence is deafening with my attempts as well. You would've thought that public bodies would at least give a response.

It's very good of you to try stcfinbmth. And sterte with the radio stations as well. Thanks. Maybe all our locals should contact their local councillors about this.
