This from "Pitchside"
Killick takes Manager of the Month for August-September on 13/10/08 by Andy Starmore.
It’s a touch of déjà vu for the August/September Pitchside awards.
The Player of the Month for August/September 2007 was Scott Joyce and the Manager of the Month was Poole Town’s Tommy Killick.
For 2008 it’s exactly the same.
And the Poole boss has achieved exactly the same record as this time 12 months ago.
The Dolphins have gone out of the FA Cup but their opening 12 games in the league are a mirror image of last season.
Won 11, drawn one and suffered not one defeat.
Obviously Killick will be hoping his troops can learn from last season when a lot of people were understandably predicting Poole to go on and win the league but fell by the wayside towards the end.
On the current situation though it has been a phenomenal start to their campaign and Killick has assembled a squad together that has a serious chance of claiming the title this time around.
Right the way through the side from goalkeeper all the way to the forwards and even on the substitutes bench the Dolphins look very strong.
And Killick is yet again proving himself to be a supremely competent manager.
Who knows who will be crowned Wessex Premier League champions come the end of the campaign.
It could be Poole, it could be VT, it could be Brockenhurst, it could be Wimborne, it could be Moneyfields, it could be an outsider.
But for now it’s the Dolphins who are leading the way and given Totton lost just four league games last season and went on to lift the title, Poole have now played just over a quarter of their matches and are yet to be beaten.
VT remain the only other club to suffer a defeat thus far.
For now though congratulations to Killick for an award thoroughly deserved

VT have a tough game on Saturday at home to Wimborne and Moneyfields may not find it easy against Hamworthy so it could be an opportune time to win again!

AS we are doing so well, they probably don't know who to give it to. Also if it comes to us to often we will other teams yelling about the unfairness of it all. At least Tommy is getting some recognition for something, and if it looks like last years results then we will have to do better and keep our scores going, that way hopefully they will carry on giving Poole awards.

I hear what your all saying and I couldn't agree more about Tommy being the best manager in the league. His partnership with Cuss is a very strong team. BUT....the award was for CLUB of the month and I still can't understand how it could go to anyone except Poole ;D

it could be that other clubs have problems we do not know of and are working towards making things better/getting rid of the problems and that could be why they got the award.
