Just looked on the Dorset FA website and the town are away to Swanage on Tuesday 28th October which looks like it will replace the Alton game in the league.

Would this be a good test for our squad players and up and coming U-18s?

No. I know that Dorchester and Weymouth think they are above it but we should respect the traditions of the competition and play a strong team. We owe it to 'lower' teams to have a chance to beat us properly. At a higher level look how the Carling Cup has become completely devalued. Anyway we need to make sure that we win it this year to make up for the appalling Portland performance.

Alton away on the 28th October is one of the games I've got in my diary too m3 - it's only about six hours down the road from me. Only joking. Seriously though, Swanage at Swanage would suit me very well because I'll be staying in Swanage for a few days in late October. Although I'd go to Alton if it doesn't turn out to be Swanage.
I could do with a lift from Poole (or anywhere close) for the away game at Moneyfields on 25th October. I'd share costs of course. ANY OFFERS?

Good to hear you will be able to see the team for a couple of games, Brian. Let's hope they have a purple patch when you're down. The Moneyfields game along with the VT game, around the same time, are very important games if we are not to let things slip.

Brian, I will speak to the Supreme Being to see if I can get a leave pass for Moneyfields. If so, will have spare seats. Will let you know.

Thanks sterte. I await the decision of the Great One with suitable humility. I'll bring the Black Pudding slepe. Will you be wearing your green carnation?
