Wimborne Town striker Steve Whitcher has rejected a bid to move to local rivals Poole Town, just hours before tonight's big local derby at Cuthbury.
News emerged of the Dolphins audacious attempt to lure the 25-year-old to Tatnam as both sides put their final touches to their preparations to the game. But Whitcher insisted he was going nowhere.
In a curt statement, he said: “I am really enjoying my football at a great club and I have absolutely no reason to consider a move away.”
